What is the Salesforce.org Higher Education Advisory Council?

We are a group of Salesforce for higher ed thought leaders who are passionate about this platform and believe in its ability to transform our institutions, our industry, and the lives of our constituents.

Mission StatementThe Higher Education Advisory Council will collaborate with Salesforce and industry partners to make Salesforce work for Higher Ed.We fulfill this mission by:• Leveraging our collective higher ed, IT, and Salesforce expertise to make a difference on

our campuses• Maintaining a collaborative community that shares code, best practices, and

documentation• Identifying needs and advocating for solutions• Connecting with new and prospective Salesforce.org higher ed customers• Participating in outreach efforts through webinars, blogs, Higher Ed Summit presentations,

Force For Change Grant applications, etc.• Recognizing the diversity of functionalities and needs of higher ed institutions

Duties and Responsibilities of Council Members

Attend at least one of the following annual events: Dreamforce, Higher Education SummitActively participate in Council calls/meetings• Participate in 50% of

calls/ meetings (extenuating circumstances may be approved by the executive committee)

Provide product feedback to Salesforce about needs/concerns of Higher Ed clientsOther duties/ responsibilities as defined

Actively participate in/volunteer for Council initiatives/ Committees, including Higher Ed Office Hours, User Group, etc.Present, Write Blogs, Post in “Power of Us” HubCollaborate on initiatives like the Force for Change Grant

Council Nominations ProcessNominations will be accepted each year through June 30

Nominations will be accepted through an online form

A member of the executive committee will interview each nominee

The executive committee will vote on all nominations between July 1 and September 30

Terms of approved nominees will begin on October 1 annuallyNew members will be invited to the meeting the day before DreamforceNote: Membership is person-oriented, not school-oriented. Schools can have only two members, one of which is the voting member unless the second member is an officer
