INTRO / SKILLS TRAINERINTRO SKILLS TRAINER TEAMS
SKILLS TRAINER The Skills Trainer in Madden NFL 25 is a great way to learn both the new controls and old controls in the game. For newer players, the number one way to get better is to learn the buttons, and the Skills Trainer will quickly teach you and then challenge you on what you learned. For veteran gamers, it is smart to check out the Skills Trainer to learn any new commands and to test yourself to make sure you really are as good as you thought! Another great reason to check out the Skills Trainer is that you earn items in MUT as rewards for getting gold in the drills!
› To see video of our authors earning gold in these drills, check out www.youtube.com/primagamesvideo
PRECISION MODIFIERThe key to beating this drill is to pay attention and use the actual move to score a TD. Scoring a TD but using a sti arm when you were supposed to spin won’t earn a positive result. Make sure you learn the timing of each move; a well-timed truck will give you a better chance to break a tackle and score.
› The Acceleration Burst drill is also a challenge, but with enough trials, you should be able to pass it.
TOTAL CONTROL PASSINGThe Total Control Passing drill requires 10 out of 10 for a gold medal. The key is to really exaggerate the motion on the left stick to make sure your pass gets counted. There are three very tough throws to make: a deep pass in the seam, the comeback route on the right, and the in route by the TE over the middle. If you can get a setup that only has these passes being run once, you should have a good chance. The low passes to the outside and lead passes over the middle are very consistent, so they will be easy. You should see the same coverages with each route, so just be patient and learn how to make each throw.
› If you can click on to these receivers to help make user plays, you will pass this sooner!
THE OPTION Learning to run a proper read option is one way to take advantage of all the mobile QB’s in Madden NFL 25! This drill will teach you how to use the brand new “read” key, which will show up before the snap. Make sure to lookout for this defender, if he stands up and watches the QB, hold down the snap button to give the ball to the HB. If the read defender crashes down towards the HB, skip the hando by not pressing anything, and the QB will keep the ball for a big gain.
› On the Triple Option, there will be a “read” key for the hando, and a “pitch” key for the QB/HB pitch!
BALL HAWK Last season, gamers were given the new ballhawk mechanic which instilled confidence on the defensive side of the ball. Players who were not used to playing as a defensive lineman, could now hold down the catch button and go up for big interceptions! In Madden NFL 25, Ballhawk is back and better than ever with great control for players trying to slow down the passing game. Work on the timing of clicking onto a defender and holding the catch button to activate ball hawk and make big plays!
› Making interceptions on the sideline is much easier in Madden NFL 25!

We did this by listening to fan feedback and have once again simplified the information you’re about to read. The oensive play section is set up so that you can take the running and passing tips we provide and put them to use right when you start playing Madden NFL 25. Here are the five most important pieces of information broken down in each team’s oensive play section.

We have gone through every playbook for every team and hand-picked the best passing formations and plays for your team. Make sure to use this formation when you want to pass the ball. The formation provided is the best option within your team’s playbook.
› We provide each team with 12 fully broken down plays. Each team has a play call sheet that will provide situational play calls. Over the course of a game it can be hard to manage which formations and players should see the field. We take that question and throw it out the window by telling you what formation and plays you should be using in Madden NFL 25.
4 PRO TIPS
› Make sure to use the Pro Tip players in multiple situations.
Maximizing your team’s depth chart takes hours of studying your team’s rosters and ratings. We are giving you the cheat sheet to unlock your team’s hidden stars so that you can make the right substitutions at the right time. Each Pro Tip oers valuable information that you can use to increase your team’s in-game ability. OFFENSIVE SCOUTING REPORT > Invest in a quality backup QB. If Kaepernick goes down you will struggle with Colt McCoy. Use your first-round draft pick on a stud rookie QB.
> Kicker Phil Dawson is accurate with 90 KAC, but he won’t be kicking any 60-yarders with 87 KPW. Scan the free agent market for a kicker with a big leg or wait for the draft.
> Ricardo Lockette is the 49ers’ only true speed receiver. Look for speed late in your first draft.
DEFENSIVE SCOUTING REPORT > Starting SS Donte Whitner turns 29 at the end of your first season and will hit the free agent market expecting to get paid top dollar for being one of the league’s best. Consider using him as trade bait early in your first season or look to acquire a rookie in the draft.
> RE Justin Smith becomes a free agent at the end of the first season. He is the anchor of the defense, so pay attention to beast defensive linemen in free agency and the draft.
> Rookie DE Corey Lemonier makes LOLB Ahmad Brooks or LOLB Parys Haralson expendable. If you can get good value for either player pull the trigger and start the rookie. He has a ton of upside.

OFFENSIVE SCOUTING REPORT > QB Aaron Rodgers is a dual-threat player. He can beat you with his arm and he can beat you with his legs. The only concern we have with Rodgers is injury. For that reason we believe you need to bring in a viable backup in preparation.
> The Packers don’t have a star HB, but they have three HBs that all have value. Rookies Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin are the future, but we think that DuJuan Harris is the best HB to win now.
> There may not be a better three-WR combination in the league than Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, and James Jones.
DEFENSIVE SCOUTING REPORT > The Packers defensive line is built for pure strength, and they have that with LE B.J. Raji and DT Ryan Pickett. In the future we would like to see the transition to a more athletic line.
> The future is bright for LOLB Nick Perry. He has all the ratings needed to be a game changer in the league. He will need upgrades to his AGI and TAK ratings.

OFFENSIVE SCOUTING REPORT > QB Joe Flacco is fresh o his first Super Bowl and no longer needs to prove he is a franchise QB. Surround him with downfield threat receivers and this oense has potential to be one of the best.
> HB Ray Rice is the workhorse of this oense. Make sure he touches the ball at least 20 times a game.
> The speed of WRs Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones is needed for this oense and Joe Flacco to have success. Keep searching for speed in the draft as well as in free agency.
DEFENSIVE SCOUTING REPORT > RE Haloti Ngata is the most dominant player in the league at his position. Look to upgrade DT Terrence Cody, who has potential to be a player like Ngata.
> LOLB Terrell Suggs is a premiere pass-rushing linebacker, but he’s in the later stages of his career. Let him go after the final two seasons of his contract.
> CB Jimmy Smith is a very underrated player and is one of the better lower rated CBs in the game. Upgrade his stats during the season and sign him to a long-term deal.

OFFENSIVE SCOUTING REPORT > QB Russell Wilson entered his rookie season as the backup in Seattle. He ended that same season as one of the best QBs in the league. Run an option oense with Wilson to take advantage of his skill set.
> Use HB Marshawn Lynch for every down. Use HB Robert Turbin for 3rd and long situations.
> WR Percy Harvin brings speed and a dynamic player to the Seahawks oense. Make sure to give rookie TE Luke Wilson touches, as he is a star in the making.
DEFENSIVE SCOUTING REPORT > The defensive line for the Seahawks is stacked. There are so many good players that it will be dicult to play them all. When rushing the passer, start LE Michael Bennett, RE Chris Clemons, RE Bruce Irvin, and RE Cli Avril. When stopping the run, start DT Brandon Mebane, LE Red Bryant, and DT Jesse Williams.
> MLB Bobby Wagner will often be the most dominant player on the field. He has the speed and power to change games. Build your outside linebackers around Wagner’s skill set, speed, and power.
> The Seahawks have the best secondary in the league. Keep this entire unit intact for as long as possible: CB Richard Sherman, CB Brandon Browner, FS Earl Thomas, and SS Kam Chancellor.

BLITZ BEATER
> This play is best used against zone blitzes.

> TE ANTHONY MCCOY IS ALSO A GREAT PASS-RECEIVING TE. GET HIM THE BALL A FEW TIMES EACH GAME.
OFFENSEOFFENSE
> GOLDEN TATE AND DOUG BALDWIN ARE BOTH SHIFTY RECEIVERS WHO WILL BE GREAT IN OPEN SPACE.
