Interview with Khurram Ahmad, Harrods Deputy General Manager.

What is your job title?

I work for Kurt Geiger and we run the concession of all Men's and ladies shoes with in Harrods.

What is the main age range of your clientele?

The ages vary to be honest - we have teenagers to older clientele as we have an offering for all, from casuals to formals and a very good range of them.

Which shoe is the best seller at the moment?

I would probably say 'drivers ( Tod's, Prada, Gucci, Car shoe and Bottega Venetta) and high tops ( Lanvin, Ballenciaga, Saint Laurent, Gucci, Jimmy Choo Belstaff, Balmain, Mqueen, Marc Jacobs and KG by Kurt Geiger'.

How do you keep up your reputation of luxury and style in the men’s shoe salon?

We keep up with the latest trends and we at Kurt Geiger in Harrods are renowned for our service levels. We also offer a huge made to order service in which we have repeat clientele. We also hold trunk shows which work really well for us throughout the whole year.

Are there any exciting new brands you have recently welcomed to the store?

Manolo Blahnik and exclusive styles from several different brands.

Do you feel that men’s interest in fashion is growing?

Absolutely agree.
