Interview (1) Techniques. - News reader Candace Dold - Interviewee/guest Cody Walker (04-25-2014)Emotional and Promotional interview - WBFF Fox News.In this interview you can see Cody Walker get emotional whilst being asked about the lifestyles and characteristics of his brother Paul Walker who died in a car crash few months prior to this interview.The news reporter starts with asking a promotional question about Paul Walkers charity organisation which is called Reach Out Worldwide. It gives Cody an opportunity to talk about Paul’s organisation, and all the charitable work he does to help people who suffer during natural disasters .The question was asked just to allow Cody to relax and start speaking openly. The following question was asked very carefully due to the sensitivity of the subject, the newsreader asks Cody an open and suggestive question, “What can we learn from Paul Walker and the way he lived his life”. The question makes Cody get emotional, Cody finds it difficult to talk about his brother, as he struggles to answer due to becoming tearful. The newsreader aids him with supporting his answers and makes herself comforting towards him, the news reader tells him to take his time and that his brother Paul is proud of him, the news reader is also supportive in helping Cody answer some questions which he struggles to answer. Candice asks Cody about how the general public can help in supporting Reach Out World Wide., which is a suggestive question. Candice also ask s a open question such as “ Paul walker was a Humanitarian and how can we follow in his footsteps, this question also gets a reaction from Cody, also shows how he feels about the loss of his brother.

Interview (2) Techniques - The View with Barbara Walters - Interviewee/guest Craig FergusonFrom The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. October 4, 2012 - Ahead of his Radio City show in NYC, Craig drops by to visit the ladies of The View.

The View is talk show with several hosts (main host Barbara Walters), This particular Interview was done in her studio were the guest was Craig Ferguson an actor , comedian and radio show host. This was Craigs forth visit to The View Show .

The purpose of the interview was to inform the viewers that it is Craig Ferguson’s 7th successive year doing The Late Late Show. He also gets asked about his opinion on writing his new book which he comments writing a book is like having sex with a gorilla , which is a promotional question and allows him to reflect on his book which he wrote the year before, this interview style of introduction enhances public knowledge about his show , and who he is. Barbara also mentions to the audience that Craig will be available on his radio city talk which is for his radio listeners. This covers Craig’s journalistic abilities.Another aspect of this interview was comedic based, or wind up being that Craig does a late night show and that it consists of comedy with a some reality thrown in.

Interview (3) Techniques - ( 01-01-2013) Actors being interviewed Quentin Tarantino , Jamie Foxx , Christoph Waltz , Don Johnson , Leonardo DiCaprio , Samuel L. Jackson , Kerry Washington , Jonah Hill and Walton Goggins to talk about Quentins new movie Django Unchained. The interview techniques used were for the purpose entertainment and promotionalThe purpose of this interview was enhancement of adieence understanding of the character roles and storyline to this movie called Django Unchained .Due to nature of the film critics were left questioning weather the film was extreme or racist so the characters needed to be justified and make accountability for their particular roles.The introduction to the interview was developmental questions style as the audience was interested in the build up or make up of the characters roles played by each actor and how the story came up to be the way it was presented. The target audience for this film or production is a mass audience. Expectations were very high noting the genre as western and a good example would be , the budget was 100 million dollars and film hit a record 425.4 million dollars at the box office, it also went on to win several awards.

Steve also heads the enterprise club at the College campuses. The club supports any students whowish To pursue a career as entrepreneurship.His earlier job roles were working : Sales Development ExecutiveBirmingham Post & Mail1975 – 1980 (5 years) Developed sales of our titles through building relationships and creative thinking.

Interview techniques and purpose :Interview 1The purpose of my interview was to get more information about the work Steve does and what other lines of business he is involved in. I also wanted information regarding what services does the enterprise club which Steve runs offers.

I asked Steve the following questions :

1.How long have you worked in the Business Enterprise seminars.

2. What is your role as a community manager, What do you offer.

3. Who has been the most inspirational person or character or somebody who inspired you.

4. What are the plans for these events , there in house at the moment for students, would they go outbound for the general public.

5. If you could pick any job to work in or any other choice of work what job would you do.

Research preparation in regards to interview with Steve Dourass.

•Recieved leaflet for entreprenuer club and contact information for Steve Dourass. (Leaflet attached with file).

•Introduced to Steve at South and City College, Mentioned I wish to attend the Enterprenuer club.

•I Attended the enterpreneur club seminar to get insight in to how the club works and what it has to offer.

•After seminar I took Steve Dourass’s business card. The method used to arrange interview : sent email to Steve (screen shot of email attached).

•Location of interview : The interview was held at South and City College.

Interview Two : MR Mu’Aawia A.A. Chohan.

My second interview was with Mu’Aawia Chohan. Mu’Awwia suffers from partial blindness.He is a 36 year old citizen and a neighbour to mewho is a registered member with RNIB, which is acharity that helps and offers support to people whosuffer from partial Sight, or are completely blind.

The purpose of my interview was to get some information on how MuAwwia dealsWith his condition, from day to day and to understand his struggles or hardship

heHas in to face due to being incapable of having normal sight like myself.I also wanted some information on how the charity organization RNIB supportThe members which are registered with the charity and the types of servicesThese members are entitled to.

Due to his inability to read his email, I contacted Mu’Aawia via telephoneConversation. After then under a agreement we arranged to meet at his premises For the interview.

Types of questions : Leading, open, closed.1. Being you have a disability how do you find day to day commuting.(Leading question).

2. So basically you have had this disability since a child. (Open question).

3. Did the disability cause you to be victimised when you was younger.(Closed question).

4. How does RNIB offer you support and what kind of support do they offer you. (Leading question followed up with a open question).

5. So they offer you different types of support. (Closed question).

6. Is there any extra support you would like to receive from RNIB, is there anything you think that’s missing or in other ways they can support you. (Leading question).

7. Regarding there services, like supplying you with items or things that you need to help you. What do they offer you, like do they give you support in that type of field. (Open question).

8. So the jobcentre still contact you regarding employment. (Leading question).

9. More so to point the fact that your unable to work because of your disability, would that not be the case, if your struggling to see how can they expect you to go and work, would it be safe for you to go out there and work. (Open question).

Interview Three : MR Mohammed Khan.Employee at - 1 Motor Stop Help (Birmingham).

Mohammed Khan works at a insurancemanagement centre for vehicles . He has beenin the industry for 15years and is very passionateabout his work.

I made Contact with Mohammed through a friendwho had a case which was dealt with by MohammedAnd retrieved his email, i decided to contact him viaEmail To Participate in a interview with me.(Copy of Screen shot email supplied).

The purpose of the Interview was to gain more information and a better understanding of how the insurance industry operates and get some information on the exceptional services and much needed support Mohammed offers to his client.

Below is a list of questions i asked Mohammed in my interview :

Types of questions : Open, closed and leading.

1. You work in the insurance industry , Is that correct. (Closed question).

2. What does your job role entail, what would you typically do, what department do you actually work in. (Open question).

3. So you offer a lot more , you offer quiet a lot of services, regarding insurance and vehicles compared to other insurance companies (no reference to company names mentioned) your like a third, would you say your a third party company. (Open question followed up by leading question then direct closed question).

4. That makes you very helpful and very useful to people, but do other companies say insurance companies offer likewise similar services or do you go that extra mile to make sure that everybody is happy, and offer more compared to these other big insurance companies.(Open question).

5. How long have you been in the insurance industry. (Closed question).

6. Have you ever thought of pursuing another career in similar type work, or do you enjoy what you do. (open question followed with closed question).

Interview For Identified PurposesPurpose -All The interviews conducted were for commercial blog purposes, a

radioProgramme article and possibly a newspaper or magazine article.

Interview Plan -Interview one was recorded at South And CityCollege on 24-06-15 at exactly 2.00 PM as agreedwith Steve Dourass. The radio recording room Was used due to its quiet nature for recording purposes. No special requirements were needed. I had to Seek consent from Steve to ask any personalquestions to which he confidently Agreed. Equipment used for recording was a H1 ZOOMaudio recording device was used with a wind shield as pictured Above (right). Also a pair of Behringer headphones for audio playback was used The audio levels were set between -12 to -6 for best possible clarity of Recording.

Interview Two –

Was held in Mu’Aawia Chohan’s house on 26- 06-2015 at Approximately 9.00 PM. The reason we agreed to the location was he was confident for the Interview to take place in his own enviroment. The same device was used for the recordingAs the above interview. I had to seek consent to mention the term suffering and disability in opposed to my interviewee feeling intimidated by the fact that I use the word. Also showing respect for the topic of him being partially blind. Had full consent for any types of questions.

Interview Three – Was held at Mohammed Khans unit in Perry Barr Birmingham . No company names were mentioned as agreed by MR Mohammed in risk of jeopardising himself or any otherOrganisation in the motor vehicle insurance industry’s maybe concerned. Any personal questions were agreed upon before being asked during the interview. The same recording device was used for the interview as above.

Structure Of Interview -Some of my questions were negotiated and explained to Steve before the interviewtook place. I only requested a introduction from him, and introduced myself also, as I did with the other two interviewee’s.

Preparation – The questions were previewed before the interview was conducted for fair policy otherwise interview would have been impossible. Opt - out option was also given to interviewee’s.
