Few points to prepare on for interviews: 1) Know everything about yourself and your surroundings a) Your school, board, when was it formed, changes it made in past. If your school name is like Sri Vivekananda High School know about Vivekananda, why he is famous, few of his works, etc. b) JU: when was it formed, its past, about NEC. Who was Aurobindo, his works, etc. Why was it in news recently? What is your take on it? c) About Kolkata and West Bengal: Politics, Geography, Poets, Rabindranath Tagore and his works, Places to visit, its population. How does politics effect business in Bengal? Problems faced by businesses, The Tata Nano case, etc. d) Job: About your company, its revenue, number of employees, your work profile in company, questions related to your work profile, competitors of your company e) Your name and its meaning. What is your sun sign? What does your sun sign say about you? f) 2-3 strengths and weaknesses along with examples to justify it. 2) Study atleast 2 subjects from engineering very nicely. They ask your favourite subjects and question on it. 3) Introduce yourself. Prepare this well. Remember next questions follow from what you say to this question. 4) Prepare on your hobbies nicely. Current affairs. Rules of game if it is a game like playing chess or cricket, etc 5) Read on some recent current affairs like Kejriwal winning Delhi elections and what is your take on it? What is your view on Modi government? President, PM, CM of different states, Ministers of States and Cabinet ministers. Repo rate, reverse repo rate, RBI, economy of India, GDP, GNP, IMF, Supreme Court, High Court, States and Capitals, North East states and their capitals, About Kozhikode, etc 6) Why IIM Kozhikode? 7) Lastly why mba? Prepare this very nicely too. You can never convince them but they should not feel that you have any doubts in your mind of why you want to do mba. You should be clear in your thought process. Remember, speak only those words from which if you are asked questions, you can answer. Never speak even one word of which you may have no clue if asked further.
