AGENDA GUIDE
As course director for the 2019 Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians Annual Meeting/Scientific Conference and as president of FSIPP, I would like to welcome each one of you to this year’s annual meeting. Your FSIPP board of directors has composed the most interesting and pertinent meeting to date in our field of interventional pain management.
We at FSIPP strive to defend your interests as practitioners of interventional pain management. We maintain full time representation in Tallahassee, and we monitor the legislative process to under-stand any potential threat and to promote the growth of our specialty. It is our privilege to represent you and to promote the growth of our specialty.
This is not your average pain meeting. First, we include only the finest faculty in each subject area. Each speaker is either a local or a national expert in the field of pain medicine and will bring us the very best professional updates in our field. Next, we include a section on military medicine. We thank our veterans for defending our country. We also study military medicine, where pain physicians use the most advanced techniques to treat acute pain and to prevent pain chronification. We will hear from veteran representatives and physicians who provide injured soldiers with the best medical services both during and after the battle. Next, we include a business section in this year’s meeting aimed at helping physicians unite resources to best deal with today’s highly volatile business and legal environment. It can be challenging to grow our medical organizations, and yet, we are truly stronger together. We will hear from doctors and administrators who have succeeded in uniting phy-sicians into larger and more independent organizations. We will learn how to grow our medical prac-tices successfully, so we can best support ourselves and our specialty of interventional pain medicine.
Finally, I thank the FSIPP board of directors, our vendors, Mantra Meetings and our chief executive of-ficer, Mrs. Michelle Byers-Robson for the expertise and all the effort they have used in preparing this meeting. Like you, I have been to countless pain meetings, but I have not seen one more interesting, pertinent, or insightful than FSIPP 2019. Have a great conference. If you have any ideas for improve-ment of this meeting or for the FSIPP board of directors, please contact me, Jesse Lipnick, any of the staff at Mantra Meetings, or any member of the board of directors.
