Interstate 5 Bridge Deck Rehabilitation Project Nighttime impacts Nighttime construction activities are necessary to minimize traffic impacts and keep daytime traffic flowing on the heavily traveled freeway. The project will also replace the median barrier along I-5 from the Rose Quarter to north of the Hawthorne Bridge. Nighttime traffic impacts:Lane and ramp closures will take place at night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weekdays and from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. on weekends. There will be no daytime lane or ramp closures.

Impacts to I-5 & connections to I-84Full closures of I-5 may occur. Notifications will be made prior to scheduled full closures. This project will require nighttime lane closures on I-5 during bridge deck and median work.

Ramp closures & detour informationWork on ramps at the Morrison Interchange and work on I-5 will require nighttime ramp closures. The impacted ramps and detour information is provided below. Only one ramp will be closed at a time. Visit the project website to see an interactive detour map.

I-5 southbound entrance ramp from NE Wheeler Avenue closed• To connect with I-5 south during this ramp closure, use the Northeast Broadway Street I-5 north

on-ramp. Take Exit 302B -- for I-405/U.S. 30 west toward Beaverton/St. Helen’s -- over the I-405 Fremont Bridge and then take the I-405 south ramp toward City Center.

• To connect with I-84 east during this ramp closure, take Northeast Weidler Street to Oregon99E (NE Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) then turn left on Northeast Everett Street andcontinue onto the I-84 east entrance ramp.

Interstate 84 westbound ramp to I-5 north and Moda Center/Convention Center closed• During this ramp closure, northbound traffic should use the I-5 south ramp across the Marquam

Bridge, then take I-405 north across the Fremont Bridge to connect with I-5 north. • To Moda center, use I-84 westbound (Exit 1) -- toward Lloyd Center -- use Northeast Lloyd

Boulevard and turn right on Northeast 1st Avenue.

Morrison Bridge eastbound ramp to I-5 north and I-84 east closed• To connect with I-5 north during this ramp closure, use Southeast Belmont, turn left on Grand Avenue,

turn left on Morrison Street and use the I-5 north entrance ramp from the far-right lane.• To connect with I-84 east during this ramp closure, continue north on Grand Avenue to the I-84

east entrance ramp.

Southbound I-5 exit ramp to OR 99E (Milwaukie/Oregon City)/ and OMSI/SE Belmont closedThe ramp to City Center will be open. • During this ramp closure, traffic on westbound I-84 should use I-5 north ramp -- toward Convention

Center/Moda Center -- then turn right on Northeast Weidler Street and take OR 99E south. • Traffic on I-5 south should use Exit 302A -- toward Broadway, Weidler Street and Moda Center

-- then turn left on North Weidler Street, turn right on OR 99E (NE Martin Luther King Jr.Boulevard) and continue to Southeast Belmont Street.
