The interrelationship between literature and other kinds of art

Literature is the art-form of language, and words are its tools. As a painter uses paint, as a musician uses musical instruments, as a sculptor uses stone-and-chisel, so a writer uses words. Literature uses words to create a mental image, leaving you to use your imagination, whereas pictures, give you an image. They do not let you use your imagination.

Literature as art

Literature is a type of art that creates a picture, but with words instead of using pictures.

Relationship with music

Music as a literature makes you use your imagination to create a mental image, a picture, of what is happening.

We also have heard songs that have been partly inspired by poems.

Relationships with cinema

The story or script of cinema is a piece of literature. So are all the spoken parts of cinema.

Many stories and plots are taken from famous novels. Screenplays are also kind of literature.

Relationships with theatre

All the stage plays written by famous writers are performing in theatre.

Relationships with dancing

In many literary works the dance scenes are practically basic. For example in novel “Pride and Prejudice” written by  Jane Austen. Also the dance can follow the form of the narrative and tell the story.

On my opinion, literature is able to influence on all kinds of art and also on the development and formation of the person of all humanity as a whole.
