The market

•  TAMU – Dorm lines 5,800 on campus – Admin drops 470 – Charge $9.25 per drop

•  $5.25 programming •  $4.00 infrastructure

– Total cable TV billings $580,000 per year

The market

•  Higher Education – There are 1.8 million students living on

campus at over 900 campuses (Source ACUHO-I).

– Assuming approximately the same billing revenue this represents about $200 million per year

Current infrastructure •  Analog and digital cable plants

– 550 Mhz – 750 Mhz *** – >1.2 GHz

•  Combination of broadband coaxial and fiber optic modulators

Current service providers

•  Local Cable TV providers – Programming is whatever is available – Many rural campuses have little to no options

•  PVAMU has Northland Cable with 32 channels

•  Satellite aggregators such as CTV – Requires local head-end
