Piggyback -- one transportation unit is carried on the back of another

Fishy back –- freight or containers moved by ferry or barge

Block train -- goods from one customer fills entire train

Single wagon load -- customer needs one or more cars but not enough cargo for full train

DWT – deadweight: the weight a ship can carry when loaded to its marks, including cargo, fuel, fresh water, stores, and crew

GT – gross ton: international measurement of the ship’s open spaces.
