Main Topics INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM DIABETIC COMPLICATIONS '87 Roma, Italy, October 29-31, 1987 These will include the epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical aspects, therapy and preven- tion of diabetic retinopathy, nephropathy, macroangiopathy and neuropathy. Programme Original research work will be presented at either oral or poster sessions. Abstracts Those interested in presenting original communications should send 3 copies of an abstract of about 400 words to the Scientific Secretariat to be received by 30 June 1987. Approved research works will be presented orally and published in the form of short originals in the Proceedings volume. Details on presentation and publication will be sent after acceptance. Awards The Scientific Committee will award bursaries for travel to Rome to four researchers from those submitting free communications. Publications A Review Book on diabetic complications, written by Scientific Committee members and other invited researchers, giving basic information on the topics will be published before the Symposium. An Abstract Book will be distributed at the Symposium. The Proceedings, consisting of the selected free communications presented at the Symposium, will be published afterwards in a reputable international diabetes journal. Language The language of the Symposium will be English. Location The Symposium will be held in the Main Hall of the ConsigliO Nazionale delle Ricerche, Piazzale Aldo Moro, Rome.
