International services From 23 March 2020

International formatsLettersLetters may be sent up to 100g and mirror domestic letter dimensions. Letters can measure up to 240mm in length and 165mm width. Maximum thickness 5mm.

Large LettersLarge Letters may be sent up to 750g and mirror domestic Large Letter dimensions. Large Letters can measure up to 353mm in length and 250mm width. Maximum thickness 25mm.

Small ParcelsFor items larger or heavier than the Large Letter format and may weigh up to 2kg. Maximum dimensions for small parcels are length plus width plus depth no greater than 900mm, with the longest side no greater than 600mm. For items sent in rolls or tubes, the length plus two times the diameter must be no greater than 1040mm, with the length no greater than 900mm.

Printed PapersUnpersonalised printed materials weighing up to 5kg can be sent via our Printed Papers service. Ensure you write ‘PRINTED PAPERS’ in the top left hand corner on the front of the item. The maximum dimensions for small parcels applies.

Customs RequirementsDue to more stringent customs regulations across the world, all items containing goods or gifts sent outside the EU must include a fully completed CN22 or CN23 Customs Declaration. If using International Standard or International Economy untracked services an S10 barcode must also be applied. These adhesive labels are available to order from royalmail.com/mailsupplies
