October/ November 2020 Exam Series Document

In May 2020, Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel had informed the school of their plans to conduct the upcoming autumn 2020 exam series. The list of subjects for the autumn 2020 series is listed below. The guidelines and procedures must be strictly adhered too. Pearson Edexcel has also specified available subjects for the January 2021 series (for IGCSE & IAL). Each student should plan their exam sitting(s) accordingly.

June 2020 Results & Login Details: Please contact the exam officer at [email protected] to get the login details for the results as follows: Cambridge IGCSE and AS results release date: Tuesday, 11th August 2020 Edexcel GCSE/ IGCSE results release date: Thursday, 20th August 2020 Edexcel GCE/ IAL Results release date: Thursday, 13th August 2020

Exams Registration Procedure: * Note: The exam registration forms are only to be used for October/November 2020 exam series. There will be two separate forms for IGCSE and IAL. Students doing both should submit both the forms. All the forms can found on iCampus and school’s website: https://iscs.sch.ae/en/muwaileh/exam

Print the Registration Form. Fill all the details. Enter the correct e-mail addresses so that you/your parent are informed of the registration

confirmation. Get it signed by your parent. Send it to the exams officer at: [email protected] You will receive statements of entries that will confirm your registration.

For Ex-students of ISCS: Our ex-students can only register and sit for the exams at ISCS if they are re-taking any

units or subjects. The ex-students will not be registered for any new units or subjects.

Early entries: Students, who had applied for an IGCSE/IAL early entry in June 2020 and withdrawn from it due to the lack of evidences, will need to fill the IGCSE/ GCSE form again with the parent’s signature only. Students, who wish to enter for an IGCSE/IAL early entry as their first time entries in Oct/Nov 2020, will not be permitted to register unless approved by the Head of Secondary and their subject teachers.

Self-Study/Private subjects: If any ISCS student wishes to take a subject that he/she has self-studied other than the syllabuses listed below, please contact the exams officer. You may take that exam depending upon its availability and ensuring that the subject has written papers only.

For Private candidates: ISCS do not accept private candidates.

Withdrawal Procedure: * Note: Please see the deadlines for the withdrawals If you wish to withdraw from the exam series for any subject after the release of results, please follow the withdrawal procedure and deadlines as below. Print the Registration Form. Fill all the details. Enter the correct e-mail addresses so that you/your parent are informed of the registration

confirmation. Get it signed by your parent. Send it to the exams officer at: [email protected] You will receive an e-mail once your withdrawal is processed.

GCSE/GCE Qualifications & Exam fee:

The only GCSE/GCE Edexcel subject that we teach at ISCS is Psychology. The exam boards are working on the availability of the subjects. We will inform you as soon as we receive any updates on this. The exam fee policy for both the exam boards will also be shared on iCampus.
