Description:
The purpose of this symposium is to provide an update on the most current, state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment options for the management of infertility. The lectures will focus on a multidisciplinary approach to both the male and female factor management.
Target Audience:
Urologists, gynecologists, nurses, IVF laboratory professionals, reproductive biology researchers and other health care professionals who manage male and female reproductive disorders.
Objectives:
1. Define the roles of emerging surgeries for the correction of anatomic causes of male and female factor infertility.
2. Describe the role of new assisted reproductive techniques in the management of infertility.
3. Compare the various techniques for harvest of sperm in non-obstructive azoospermia.
4. Describe advances in diagnostic testing for male factor infertility.
5. Summarize advances in the management of female and male sexual function.
6. Discuss the ethical dilemmas related to infertility therapies facing both patients and healthcare professionals.
