UNIVERSITAS AIRLANGGAGREETINGS FROM

Universitas Airlangga prepares its students for an integrated hard and soft skills learning process of intra-, extra-, and co-curricular elements. Facing many global challenges, Universitas Airlangga encourages the students to be more exposed to the international environment by inviting more international students to participate in programs that are designed for academic and cultural purposes. This catalogue is constructed to meet the demands on information availability regarding the international programs in Universitas Airlangga. It is specifically dedicated to international students who wish to expand their experiences and networking for a study outside their universities according to their interests and needs.

Encountering the current unexpected situation where everyone is trapped in a static movement and depending on a screen to keep connecting to the world, Universitas Airlangga is also utilizing the medium to deliver the programs. Aiming to meet the exposure needs with the limitless platform, all offered programs in 2021 will be conducted online by keep trying to emphasize the essence of the programs.

We do believe that this pandemic will never stop us to learn and to explore new things in order to provide ourselves not only with vitamin and super food but also a brand-new horizon to set us a fresh start with post pandemic in mind. We hope that the offered programs in 2021 will bring more engagement for international academia, students and staff of Universitas Airlangga, also spreading positivity and hope for the world.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

DESCRIPTION

AMERTA calls outstanding students to experience the diverse culture of Indonesia especially local East Java atmosphere to study for one or two semesters. This program is available for interna�onal students who are interested in a number of uniquely Indonesian perspec�ve subjects in social, cultural, economics, natural sciences, life sciences, and health sciences. Inaugurated in 2014, it was successfully conducted for its first batch. All courses are fully delivered in English, students are complimentarily provided with Indonesian language learning and cultural trips during the program. Field studies are compulsory in some courses to integrate theore�cal perspec�ves into prac�ce.

Undergraduate: complete at least two semesters at the home university

DESCRIPTION

The par�cipants will take placement test to determine which level their Indonesian language capability belongs to in order to be able to begin their lesson. Through synchronous and asynchronous online mee�ngs, 14 mee�ngs in total per level, the par�cipants will be able to improve and develop their specific life-skills on the Indonesian language and cultural understanding.

LINGUA is especially designed for interna�onal students who wish to expand their knowledge and experience in learning Indonesian language and culture. This program is comprised of two learning programs: LINGUA Level A1 and A2, which focuses on beginner level lesson and LINGUA Level B1 and B2, which consists of inter-mediate level lesson.

DESCRIPTION

Indonesian Heritage (In-Herit) is a 10 days summer program conducted for Interna�onal Students to experience heritage in Indonesia. This program focuses on health science aspect including tradi�onal medicine of Indonesia. It also offers cultural exposure and joint course between Universitas Airlangga and Universitas Sebelas Maret.

DESCRIPTION

A short exchange program for undergraduate students, graduate students and academic staffs to go through community service perspec�ves. This program is aimed acknowledge the par�cipants regarding the dynamic society in Indonesia. The par�cipants will cope the real problems in society so that they can place ideas in ac�on to aid the society. Adapted from the Sustainable Development Goals including no poverty, good health and well-being, reduced inequali�es and partnership for the goals, this program will tackle the issue of sustainable ci�es and communi�es. The academic staff par�cipants will be focused on dissemina�ng future research in regards to solve the social issues arise.

This is a society empowerment program through sociopreneurship which cooperates with three excellent universi�es in the eastern part of Indonesia: Universitas Airlangga, Petra Chris�an University, and Udayana University. The par�cipants will be exposed to Indonesian culture in two big regions which are Surabaya and Bali. By the end of the program, par�cipants are expected to have the competencies to iden�fy sociopreneurship ac�vi�es, map the challenges, and offer ideas to improve social enterprises in the global se�ng.

DESCRIPTION

Universitas Airlangga tailor made programs offer colleges and universi�es all around the world the opportunity to create a study abroad program in Indonesia that fits specific needs and interests. These programs can be focused on specific content themes as well as English language skills. Programs can range in length from one week to one month or more, and can take place on the UNAIR campus or onsite at the chosen loca�on. Universitas Airlangga strives to bring you innova�ve ideas and educa�onal challenges. We aim to develop programs that meet specialized requirements for unique subject areas and audiences.

The previous program includes Airlangga-KOC Summer Camp in 2018. Requested by KOC University, Turkey, the theme revolves around Sociopreneurship that took place in Surabaya and Bali. Since 2016, we have been facilita�ng an annual tailor-made program requested by Miami Dade College, USA. Adop�ng mul�culturalism as a theme, the program took place around the Eastern Java region, exploring the vast diversity the region has to offer.
