1. Can Muddes idea of populism (politics being an expression of general will of the ‘people’) ever be attainable considering the ‘people’ and their views are so stratified upon basis of

class and ethnicity etc.? 2. Is populism a contradictory dream? Can the support for the concerns of ordinary people

really be the idyllic model if equally armed with discriminatory and destructive power?3. Even further, is it a myth whereby those such as Trump exploit its appeal and reality in the

attempt of acquiring more personal power?4. What must be more highly valued? Democracy or allowing the ‘people’ to make decisions

regardless of the damaging consequent effects?
