2012 IPHC 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer

As we prepare for the 2012 IPHC Twenty-One Days of Fasting and Prayer we need to be reminded that the one statement recorded by Jesus concerning the house of worship was that it was “to be called a house of prayer for all nations”. The tension and temptation we all face is to allow our place of worship to become a “house of sermons”, or a “house of programs”, or a “house of praise and worship”. There is a strong call throughout the world from many Christian groups that we must become houses of prayer. This begins in the life of each Christian, each home, each place of work and in each place of worship.

As a guide to our time of prayer and fasting for this year we are returning to a prophetic word given to this movement in 1991 by John Dawson. The words of this statement follow so that you can read what was presented to the IPHC. It seems fitting that after twenty years we see where God has led the IPHC and the road that is still before us as we follow the direction of God. This IPHC 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer Guide and Journal is offered to assist you in your time of fasting and prayer.

Billy Wilson, in his book Fasting Forward, (Pathway Press, 2005), says, “The discipline of fasting and prayer prepares our hearts to receive the grace of God’s direction. When we fast, our spiritual eyes see clearer than usual. Because we have denied our flesh, our spiritual sensitivity escalates and we are more receptive to God’s directives…” (p. 46). As we give God our undivided focus and attention through fasting with prayer, we can expect Him to speak to us, to impress His heart upon us, to increase clarity and open our spirits as He leads us into deeper communion with Him.

The fast each individual chooses to follow is a personal matter between you and God. There are many examples of fasts in the Bible from complete fasts, drinking only water for a period of time, to abstaining from one particular food or activity for a time. Take time to pray and seek God’s guidance as you read and research to make your decision of the fast you choose to follow.

Each day’s devotional includes a blessing for you to speak over yourself and others. Allow the blessings to enlarge within you the revelation of the Father - heart of God. Speak them over your family and church, declaring the intent of the Father for your lives. They are based on the Word and serve as positive daily encouragement and affirmation of His truths.

The leaders of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church bless you as you fast and pray! May these 21 days be rich and satisfying as you offer the first days of the year to the Lord. May you reap long lasting benefits from this dedicated time of prayer throughout all of 2012. We pray that 2012 will be a year of great growth as the IPHC embraces the heart of the Father over us and seeks a fresh understanding of the inheritance He intends for us. We live with great anticipation that God will establish houses of prayer for all nations throughout our movement.

Prophetic Word by John Dawson

SHARPER FOCUS

During October of 1991, a prophetic challenge was given by John Dawson, author of Taking Our Cities for God, to the Pentecostal Holiness denomination. This special moment occurred during the King Memorial Lectures at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia.

Undergirding the list of characteristics Dawson sensed would serve as the DNA of this people as they move into their future, beginning even now at the threshold of 1992, were two specific declarations. One referred to our place in God. We were reminded first that God “rules in the affairs of men and nations.” This is the broader sense of our placement under His sovereignty. More specifically, however, we were brought to think about God’s personal desires for us as a people in relationship. This was summed up in the response of the Holy Spirit to Dawson’s prayerful questions, “What do You want to say to the Pentecostal Holiness movement?” The answer was simply, “I want to mark them with a new name.” Dawson did not infer that this was literal but to be contained in “A NEW IDENTITY,” an identity that would be confirmed by expressions of our inheritance. Dawson continued, “One of the things that the Lord said is that He wants you to be seen by others as a people that are secure in God’s affirmation.” The challenge is that we would move in certainty of the Lord’s words, “You are My people and I have chosen you!” This challenge was then expanded in the statement, “God wants to give you a wider inheritance than you now have!” Thus, in the extended blessing of God’s love we are chosen to receive under His sovereignty an ordained, gracious inheritance! Praise His Name!

However, our focus needs to be sharpened as we move forward by the Holy Spirit into this designated place, this “large room” according to Psalm 31:8. As an assistance in this process, I believe the characteristics the Father pin-pointed for us through John Dawson are significant. These are given below for the purpose of motivation. PRAY that we might corporately embrace today as a time for pressing deeper into the heart of God where our character is being rightly formed, and as a time for greater victory in the conquest of divinely appointed levels of inheritance. Scripture passages for meditation are Jeremiah 30:18-22; Jeremiah 31:16-18 and Isaiah 41:10-18.

1) The prophet Isaiah wrote, “The afflicted and needy are seeking water, but there is none and their tongue is parched with thirst. I, the Lord, will answer them myself…” Today we stand in a season of grace. According to Dawson, over recent months “thousands of pastors have cried out to God in harmony with one another.” Such tears and repentance have “caused the face of the Lord to turn toward us. And we are prepared for harvest. And we are to ask for great things!” We are to find our place in this moment.

4

2) You are, as a movement, to be characterized by joy. You are to be “a people of celebration,” and “happy in the work that God has given you to do.”

3) “The third thing is that you are to have an identity in encouraging and serving the whole Church, an ambition for the inheritance of all the tribes…There are many times in which you will labor and travail for victory and the harvest will be received to the increase of other tribes, and you are not to be insecure about that; but you are to be secure in the identity God has given you.”

4) “The fourth characteristic is that you are to be…a tribe that raises up leadership for a vision as big as the world. You are to expose those being trained to the great diversity of ministries and movements. You are to know the Church…This movement is not primarily a nursery…Our success is always to be seen in terms of what is happening in the kingdom, not in the isolation of our circumstances.”

5) “The fifth characteristic God wants you to have is to be a House of Prayer for all nations. You are to be strategic, informed intercessors, intercession by those who know the nations…From this time forth, according to the Word of the Lord, you are to be a people who go to and fro in the earth with nations in your heart…You are a doorway to the nations.”

6) “The sixth characteristic is that you are to be seen as a people who are poor in spirit, humble and grateful for God’s mercy, the fellowship of the rescued …be as those who are quick to confess, quick to humble themselves, those who always seem to have a desperate sense of need and a hunger for more of God…quick to serve, poor in spirit because ‘blessed are the poor in spirit.’”

7) “The seventh characteristic is that you are to be a people that condemn no man, having a spirit of adoption to the rejected and unlovely…You are not to be a people defined by standards, but by a spirit of adoption.”

8) “The eighth characteristic is that you are to be a container, as an extended family in the kingdom of many cultures and nationalities…Your movement is to be a fellowship of peoples…This is not to be a denomination and movement associated with one nation…There is to come a point when the balance of those who are in this tribe are not found in this nation, and that the governing body of this tribe is to be a circle of nations.”

9) “The ninth characteristic is to be a people of liberty, a people characterized by the liberty to create without fear, forms of worship and ministry that release the full personality of the Creator…Sometimes the enemy of tomorrow’s inheritance is today’s possession. And so we need to take all that we have possessed and put it on the altar…There may be painful things with which to deal, but God calls for everything being placed on the altar.”

5

10) “The tenth characteristic is to be that of radical generosity. You are to be a people called to pioneer again and again; calls which will require your giving more than you have, doing bigger things than your resources allow you to do. And each generation is going to see the miracles…”

11) “The eleventh characteristic is to be that your leaders are known in heaven and on earth as people who follow the cloud, as people who are reporting a story of divine direction…”

12) “You are to have the ministry of encouragement in discipling the nations and in discipling the church. Discipleship, after all, is 90% encouragement. You are to call forth Christ in others. You are to apply the gift of faith to their future. You are to train your eyes to see that which is fearfully and wonderfully made. You are to establish loving accountability and weep with those who weep, laugh with those who laugh.”

In the broader perspective, we understood that as a people God was requiring us to be set free from any sense of defensiveness birthed out of our past. We were instead being called to a new place of dependence upon the Lord God Almighty. In Dawson’s words, “You are an older tribe now, and you are to behave as a responsible adult…There’s to be an ambition that’s as wide as the kingdom that characterizes this movement…Let me command you in Jesus’ name, DO NOT FEAR!” From the Isaiah passage already mentioned we hear again the words, “I will help you. Do not fear…I will help you, declares the Lord…Behold, I have made you a new sharp threshing sledge with double edges.” Dawson referred to this as the “winnowing work of intercession. That means that in this season of your life as a movement, God is saying, ‘I have given you authority before My throne to ask of Me for great things, and I will do them!’” Truly, “you will thresh the mountains (of Satanic resistance) and pulverize them.”

2012 Prayer and Fasting Daily Guide

Day 1 “…you are to be a House of Prayer for all nations.”

Isaiah 56:7 All these I will bring to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; for My house will be called a house of prayer for all peoples.

What does it mean for me and my church to be known as a house of prayer for all nations?

I am a blessing through my prayers for my family and others. The Father hears and answers as I lift my heart in prayer. The blessings of the Lord flow from my heart to others as I lead in prayer and as I teach others to entrust their lives through prayer to Him. My spiritual ears and eyes are blessed, my understanding is opened and I am recognizing the love of the Father and His celebration of my life!

Day 2 “…thousands of pastors have cried out to God in harmony with one another.” Such tears and repentance have “caused the face of the Lord to turn toward us…”

Psalm 18:6 In my distress I called upon the Lord and cried to my God; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry came before Him, into His [very] ears.

Joel 1:14 Set apart a time when no food will be eaten. Call together a holy meeting. Gather the leaders and all the people of the land to the house of the Lord your God, and cry out to the Lord.

I am blessed to call on my Father boldly with the assurance that He hears my cries and turns His face toward me! I am blessed with the gift of repentance through Jesus Christ and the power of agreeing prayer as I call to my Father! I am a blessing to the Lord as I harmonize with others working with me in the harvest. ______________________________________________________________________

8

Day 3 “…we are prepared for harvest. And we are to ask for great things!” We are to find our place in this moment.”

Luke 1:17 And he will [himself] go before Him … to make ready for the Lord a people [perfectly] prepared [in spirit, adjusted and disposed and placed in the right moral state].

John 14:12 For surely, I tell you, whoever puts his trust in Me can do the things I am doing. He will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father.

Psalm 57:2 I call to God Most High, to God who fulfills [His purpose] for me.

Will I risk “asking for great things?” How strong is my faith?

I have been blessed with the preparation of God Almighty for this time in history! I am blessed to fulfill the purpose He has set before me. I expect His provision as I ask for great things! I am in God’s timing, not running ahead or lagging behind, but knowing God’s will and doing His will in the right time, place and way and with the right people.

Day 4 You are, as a movement, characterized by joy. You are to be “a people of celebration,” and “happy in the work that God has given you to do.”

Proverbs 28:12a When the [uncompromisingly] righteous triumph, there is great glory and celebration;

Psalm 92:4 For You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your works; at the deeds of Your hands I joyfully sing.

Does joy overflow all aspects of my life?

I am blessed with the joy of walking and working with people who are standing shoulder to shoulder with me, serving together in the delight of the Lord, enjoying the favor of the Lord, fulfilling the plan of the Lord over our lives. I am blessed with contagious joy! I choose to enjoy His delight over me today!

____________________________________________________________________

10

Day 5 “… you are to have an identity in encouraging and serving the whole Church, an ambition for the inheritance of all the tribes…

2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, … Be strengthened; be encouraged and consoled and comforted; be of the same [agreeable] mind one with another; live in peace, and [then] the God of love [Who is the Source of affection, goodwill, love, and benevolence toward men] and the Author and Promoter of peace will be with you.

Galatians 5:13 For you, brethren, were [indeed] called to freedom; … but through love you should serve one another.

John 13:35 By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves].

I am blessed to serve others in demonstration of the love God has so freely poured out for me! My open heart and willingness to pray and labor for the whole Church is a gift to the Lord. I am reaping the blessings of the Father because I am an encourager with a servant’s heart. My Father is pleased!

______________________________________________________________________

11

Day 6 “There are times when you will labor and travail for victory and the harvest will be received to the increase of other tribes… you are to be secure in the identity God has given you.”

Ephesians 1:4 Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.

Psalm 49:16 Do not be overawed when others grow rich, when the splendor of their houses increases;

I am blessed with an identity in Him that cannot be shaken. I am securely loved as His child and my labor is never in vain. I am blessed with the satisfaction and joy of victory as I search His Word and look to see His glory day after day. Glimpses of His glory are mine today!

______________________________________________________________________

12

Day 7 “…you are to be…a tribe that raises up leadership for a vision as big as the world.”

1 Thessalonians 5:12 Now also we beseech you, brethren, get to know those who labor among you [recognize them for what they are, acknowledge and appreciate and respect them all]--your leaders who are over you in the Lord and those who warn and kindly reprove and exhort you…

Isaiah 54:2 Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; spare not; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes… Is it alright for me to serve the Kingdom of God and not just the IPHC?

I am blessed as a leader in my community of faith. I am a wise, life-giving encourager and door-opener. I am anointed to carry the God-given vision with wisdom and understanding. I am blessed to cast the vision with clarity and boldness.

_____________________________________________________________________

13

Day 8 “You are to expose those being trained to the great diversity of ministries and movements. You are to know the Church.”

Acts 20:28 Take care and be on guard for yourselves and the whole flock over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you bishops and guardians, to shepherd (tend and feed and guide) the church of the Lord or of God which He obtained for Himself [buying it and saving it for Himself] with His own blood.

Ephesians 4:12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ's body (the church),

I am blessed to see my heart and spirit replicated in others. I delight in seeing how God blesses my spiritual offspring! He has anointed and blessed me with insight and faith as I express the good news of the gospel, and speak peace into the spirits of others. I am blessed to be a kingdom-builder!

______________________________________________________________________

14

Day 9 “Our success is always to be seen in terms of what is happening in the kingdom, not in the isolation of our circumstances.”

Matthew 6:33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

Matthew 20: 32-33 32And Jesus stopped and called them, and asked, ‘What do you want Me to do for you?’ 33They answered Him, ‘Lord, we want our eyes to be opened!’

Can I see beyond my circumstances to see what God is doing in the Kingdom? Is my church focusing on Kingdom purposes?

My heart is blessed with a desire to see His kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. I will not measure my life by my daily circumstances, but look toward eternity and to my destiny in Him. I am blessed with a heavenly perspective, insight and hope! I am blessed to serve the eternal God Who created all things and Who knows the beginning from the end. I am in His hands. I will look to Him continually!

______________________________________________________________________

15

Day 10 “You are to be strategic, informed intercessors; intercession by those who know the nations…”

Psalm 119:66 Teach me good judgment, wise and right discernment, and knowledge, for I have believed (trusted, relied on, and clung to) Your commandments.

Psalm 98:2 The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness has He openly shown in the sight of the nations.

I am a receptive vessel and the Lord has blessed me with strategy and insight as I intercede for the nations. He entrusts His secrets to my heart, knowing I will pray out His will and plan for the earth. I am blessed with an ability to meet Him in the Secret Place because of my obedience to Him. What a blessing!

_____________________________________________________________________

16

Day 11 “From this time forth, according to the Word of the Lord, you are to be a people who go to and fro in the earth with nations in your heart…You are a doorway to the nations.”

Isaiah 55:5 Behold, you [Israel] shall call nations that you know not, and nations that do not know you shall run to you because of the Lord your God, and of the Holy One of Israel, for He has glorified you.

I am blessed to let my light shine as I carry the love God has for the nations. My missionary heart is blessed to pray and intercede for those who go where I cannot. I am equipping and enabling through prayer, building others up in their faith as they share on foreign soil. I am blessed to be a door-opener through prayer so others may go!

_____________________________________________________________________

17

Day 12 “… you are to be seen as a people who are poor in spirit, humble and grateful for God’s mercy, among the fellowship of the rescued …”

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity],

Do I identify myself with the “fellowship of the rescued?”

Because I am blessed with humility and an understanding of the mercy of God, I am easy to relate to. God has blessed me to be recognized as “one of His”, a “rescued overcomer,” a “sinner saved by grace” who freely shares the blessings and comfort I have experienced. I am blessed with a tender, open, loving heart just like my Father’s.

_____________________________________________________________________

18

Day 13 “…be as those who are quick to confess, quick to humble themselves, those who always seem to have a desperate sense of need and a hunger for more of God…quick to serve, poor in spirit because ‘blessed are the poor in spirit.’”

2 Corinthians 8:9 For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied).

How quickly do I confess and humble myself before God?

I have been blessed with a desperation that causes me to pursue the Father’s strength and power. This is pleasing to Him! He enjoys my deep dependence on Him and my certain desire to please Him due to my need for His wisdom and guidance. As a result, I am blessed with creative thinking and ingenuity, grace and peace as I serve and bless others.

______________________________________________________________________

19

Day 14 “… you are to be a people that condemns no man, having a spirit of adoption to the rejected and unlovely…You are not to be a people defined by standards, but by a spirit of adoption.”

Romans 8:15 For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba! Father!

Am I mindful to bless others and to not allow my thoughts that would judge and condemn others?

The Lord has blessed me with a revelation of my sonship! I am His very own child blessed with the deep knowledge and understanding of my identity in Him. I am blessed with the grace and desire to encourage others to know and take hold of the spirit of adoption. My heart is bent on welcoming all into the family of God!

______________________________________________________________________

20

Day 15 “…you are to be a container, as an extended family in the kingdom of many cultures and nationalities…Your movement is to be a fellowship of peoples…This is not to be a denomination and movement associated with one nation…There is to come a point when the balance of those who are in this tribe are not found in this nation, and that the governing body of this tribe is to be a circle of nations.”

1 Corinthians 12:12 For just as the body is a unit and yet has many parts, and all the parts, though many, form [only] one body, so it is with Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

Am I willing to cherish the 100 year historical traditions of the IPHC while at the same time embracing and pursuing the continual movement of God?

I am blessed with deep insight that I am an heir together with Christ as I share in His sufferings and in His glory. I choose to be confident as a member of the Body, taking my place as part of the whole Church, embracing the beauty and joy of the Family of God.

______________________________________________________________________

21

Day 16 “…you are to be a people of liberty, a people characterized by the liberty to create without fear, forms of worship and ministry that release the full personality of the Creator.”

2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom).

2 Peter 1:3 For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue)

Am I open to the fullness of His creative personality in worship and ministry?

I am blessed with the liberty to flow in creativity! I will allow my spirit to soar in the freedom and fullness of my Father’s inspiration. I will release a demonstration of the character and originality of the Architect of Heaven that challenges those around me! I am blessed with inventiveness and vision for new things!

____________________________________________________________________

22

Day 17 “… the enemy of tomorrow’s inheritance is today’s possession. And so we need to take all that we have possessed and put it on the altar…There may be painful things with which to deal, but God calls for everything being placed on the altar.”

Mark 12:33 And to love Him out of and with all the heart and with all the understanding [with the faculty of quick apprehension and intelligence and keenness of discernment] and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is much more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

My Father has walked with me through every detail of my life. He has blessed me with talents and gifts, anointing for ministry, ability and strength, as I have obediently served. All of these gifts are His. I am blessed as I release it all back to Him, entrusting my personality, my experience and my ministry to Him. He will release tomorrow to me! I am blessed with an inheritance of His formation, fresh and new for today.

____________________________________________________________________

23

Day 18 “…you are to be a people of radical generosity… called to pioneer again and again, calls which will require your giving more than you have, doing bigger things than your resources allow you to do. And each generation is going to see the miracles…”

2 Corinthians 9:6, 8 6[Remember] this: …he who sows generously [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings. 8And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient. Psalm 145:4 One generation shall laud Your works to another and shall declare Your mighty acts.

Am I willing to allow God to break me of fear and to lead me into radical generosity?

I am blessed as a giver and blessed in knowing that I give pleasure to my Father through my stewardship and generosity. He has placed trust in my life as I have seen Him supply my needs and pour out blessings over my ministry. I am blessed to testify of His faithfulness and generous bounty as I share again and again my firsthand experiences of His provision!

______________________________________________________________________

24

Day 19 “… your leaders are known in heaven and on earth as people who follow the cloud, as people who are reporting a story of divine direction…”

Exodus 40:36 Whenever the Cloud lifted from The Dwelling, the People of Israel set out on their travels, but if the Cloud did not lift, they wouldn't set out until it did lift. The Cloud of God was over The Dwelling during the day and the fire was in it at night, visible to all the Israelites in all their travels.

Psalm 25:5 Guide me in Your truth and faithfulness and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You [You only and altogether] do I wait [expectantly] all the day long.

Is the depth of my trust in God such that I can follow Him, whether the requirement is physical or spiritual?

I am blessed with the joy of obedience! I choose to set a standard of obedience and demonstrate my love for the Father through quick compliance to His guidance and direction. I am blessed with knowing my Father’s approval and validation as I joyfully seek His will for your life daily!

______________________________________________________________________

25

Day 20 “You are to have the ministry of encouragement in discipling the nations and in discipling the church. You are to call forth Christ in others. You are to apply the gift of faith to their future. You are to train your eyes to see that which is fearfully and wonderfully made. You are to establish loving accountability and weep with those who weep, laugh with those who laugh.”

Romans 15:5-6 5Now may the God Who gives the power of patient endurance (steadfastness) and Who supplies encouragement, grant you to live in such mutual harmony and such full sympathy with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, 6That together you may [unanimously] with united hearts and one voice, praise and glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).

Deuteronomy 4:9 Only take heed, and guard your life diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen and lest they depart from your [mind and] heart all the days of your life. Teach them to your children and your children's children--

I am blessed with eyes to see others become imitators of Christ as I encourage and disciple them. The Lord has blessed me with words of encouragement to those who are weary, with a heart of compassion and with demonstrated integrity as I lead by example. Father God is blessing me with joy as I watch those I have imprinted with my life experiences grow and flourish!

_____________________________________________________________________

26

Day 21 “You are an older tribe now, and you are to behave as a responsible adult…There’s to be an ambition that’s as wide as the kingdom that characterizes this movement…Let me command you in Jesus’ name, DO NOT FEAR!”

2 Chronicles 19:7a So now let the reverence and fear of the Lord be upon you; take heed what you do…

Isaiah 41:14-16 “I will help you. Do not fear…I will help you,” declares the Lord “…Behold, I have made you a new sharp threshing sledge with double edges...you will thresh the mountains (of satanic resistance) and pulverize them.”

Will I allow God to break me of fear in all areas of my life?

I am blessed with deep trust that will not give place to fear. God Almighty has blessed me with great favor as I have taken seriously the challenge to run with the bold to do great exploits for my God! I have grown up to accomplish the work God has called me to, with trust and favor, authority and wisdom.
