McTimoney College• Over 100 information leaflets were

distributed to visiting patients at their clinic and vouchers to pass on to friends for free spine checks.

• Bake sale raised a £62, which they intend to donate to World Spine Day organisation.

-100 leaflets were handed out-Posted their event on their Facebook page-The Danish Chiropractic Newspaper published the event in their online newspaper. -Talk to by-passers about chiropractic, WCCS and WSD.

*Coincided their event with Stress Less Week hosted by their student union group in order to get in contact with as many students as possible! *There was a barbeque put on, a large bouncy castle and stress balls were being handed out all in the interest of helping students relax and have a quick break as it was our last week of the semester.

*Over 100 pamphlets were handed out and students have received new patients from our initiative.

>Interactive day of yoga on Durban’s famous Golden Mile. It was an event that was open to all willing to participates, both WCCS and non-WCCS individuals.

>A competition for the best spine selfie was held.

#Presentation was given about World Spine Care in every chiropractic year class to familiarize the students with this organisation. #A photo shoot with Ralphi, the skeleton, students and university staff could enjoy the moment while learning about the importance of spinal health, chiropractic and the World Spine Care organisation. #A collection bucket was made available, a total raised of £160.00 in favour of World Spine Care.

#More than 100 pictures were taken

#A “straighten up and move” flashmob

#Two yoga classes

#More than 550 students and University staff members participated and heard about chiropractic, the importance of movement for spinal health and the World Spine Care organisation on that day.

#The event was advertised on Facebook and the University webpage.

-An airplane with a large banner reading “World Spine Day, lifewest.edu” flew over the city of San Francisco, CA and the surrounding Bay Area for 2 hours during rush hour traffic on WSD.

-A team of 41 student volunteers educated the public about spinal health.

-Foundation Training exercises to change damaging movement patterns and encourage spinal health and healing.

A Silent human exhibit demonstrating progressive stages of spinal degeneration and poor posture.

-Student volunteers engaged the public, answer questions and educate about the importance of spinal health.

-Designed picture frames used to frame “spine selfie” photographs with the willing public.

Free spinal screenings were given greeting patients with “Happy World Spine Day,” and informed them about WSD.

The college homepage was changed to include WSD as it’s primary header, celebrating and drawing attention to WSD and our associated local events.

A press release was sent to various media channels in the Bay Area.

Two local radio stations reported about our WSD events.

Talks about WSD, informing the students the care of the spine. Subjects presented were correct postural patterns, spine hygiene and chiropractic care.

#A week-long celebration for world spine day.

#A display on spinal heath was set up in the foyer of the main building of the University campus, which remained there for the duration of the World Spine Day celebrations. #This display was funded by the Chiropractic faculty at the University of Johannesburg and The Chiropractic Association of South Africa.

#An array of posters on Spinal health, Posture and Chiropractic were designed by the UJ WCCS committee for the display.

Over 120 spinal screenings were given and hand prints place in support of spinal health at the display by the students or campus visitors

WCCS members and volunteers dressed as the human spine, paraded around campus to promote spinal health

Radio interview by Ballz radio was conducted on ergonomics and spinal health in the work place.

Educated the approximately 450 students at the AECC, 500 students at BU, by using World Spine Care Organization Presentation and Straighten up exercises

in Chiropractic course years 1-3,
