“Happy Holy New Year” 2015!!! Interim Associaon Missionary Thoughts: “Happy New Year”!!! It’s 2015. It’s a brand new year. It’s God’s giſt to His children. What are your plans for 2015? What are you going to do with God’s giſt? For me, I’m going to do my best to bring Glory and Honor to my King, Jesus Christ. I’m going to strive to point everyone to Jesus. I’m going to do my best to point everyone to God’s Holy, Inspired, Inerrant, Immutable, Authoritave, Living Word (the Bible). I’m going to do my best to align my life to the teaching of His Word. As we see our world changing for the worst. As we see Biblical Prophecy unfold before our eyes, I think that all Believers should take it seriously and that we should all be striving to be beer Chrisans this year. We may not have too many years leſt. We need to make an impact in our world for Jesus Christ now, not later. In the month of January, we will resume our Pastor Conferences each Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Associ- aon Office. I would like to encourage each of our Savannah Bapst Pastors to strive to aend as many of these conferences that you can. Remember, “iron sharpens iron”, and Pastors need to fellowship and encourage each other. Also, we will have our Execuve Commiee Meeng on January 27 at The Cross Road Bapst Church beginning at 7:00 p.m. This is our opportunity to share with all the Savannah Bapst Associaon Churches what is going on in the Associaon. This is when we conduct Associaon Business. On average, out of our 68 Savannah Bapst Churches, only 20 – 22 Churches are represented. We should be doing much beer. Please make plans to aend. Once again, I would like to thank the Associaon for allowing me to serve as the Interim Associaon Missionary. It truly is a joy. Also, I would like to thank our Staff. Mrs. Connie Marn, Bro. Tommy Pirtle, Bro. Stephen Bell, Mrs. Gay Donovan. Also, thank you to those who oversee the ministries of the Associaon. Mrs. Stephanie Carr (Director of the Savannah Bapst Center), Bro. Kevin Alley (Director of the Savannah Bapst Assembly), Rev. Evere Tumblin (Director of the Seafarer’s Ministry), and Rev. Tony Branham (BCM). All of these do a GREAT job for the Savannah Bapst Associaon. In His Service and Yours, Rev. Buddy Wasson Interim Associaon Missionary Page 2 Church Posions available: Savannah Korean Bapst Church is seeking a part-me Minister of Youth grades 6-12. Kevin’s Corner: Assembly News: Beginnings I would like to encourage you that as we embark upon the journey of a new year, a fresh start, a renewed spirit, that we would approach our lives with a renewed sense of purpose. As I look for- ward over the months to come, I certainly see lists of projects and a number of tasks that we at the assem- bly must prepare for; but beyond that, I see lives that are to be impacted and decisions to be influenced, both of which are molded by relaonships. The na- ture and purpose of our buildings and grounds at the assembly is to be conducive to the development and exercise of these relaonships. I am excited about the events to come as groups prepare their students and their camps that decisions will be challenged and that lives will be changed. We are movated by many things but must be guided by a sense of purpose which has at its origin the very one that holds creaon in His hand. As we relate to one another through our Christ-like faith, “Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wis- dom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratude in your hearts” Colossians 3:16 (NIV), let us purpose together as we approach the new year within our associaon; not only in all that we do but by all that we are, seeking God’s will and direcon for our lives, our ministries, and our service.
