INTERESTING AUTO GLASS INDUSTRY INVENTIONS AND INVENTORS As many residents benefit from the significant amount of astonishing things that follow with driving a vehicle, they often refrain from seeking knowledge about one of the most important components – their auto glass and its accessories. Vehicle owners residing in the Toronto auto glass area are most likely unaware of imperative parties who contributed to the overall durability of auto glass and the convenience that it brings to many automotive owners. In 1903, an intelligent man by the name of Edouard Benedictus dropped a piece of glass in his laboratory and noticed it did not shatter. Both discombobulated and amused, he began to do some thorough research for the sole purpose of figuring out what exactly caused the glass to remain intact. After days of research, he finally came to the conclusion that the glass was filled with dried collodion film. His laminated glass was first utilized in 1920 for the purpose of providing vehicles with durable windshields. In addition to the invention of laminated glass came tempered glass. In the early 1900s, tempered glass was invented by an exceptional Austrian chemist named Rudolph Seiden. Tempered glass is mainly used on the rear and side view glass in vehicles. This extraordinary glass has the ability to withstand the pressure of many items. It has been contributing to the safety of individuals around the world for decades. Another type of safety glass was first introduced in 1905 by a man named John Crew. This intelligent fellow used tree resin in which is placed in between two layers of glass. As all of the other safety glass types, this too is very durable, reliable, and has the ability to withstand a high amount of pressure. Men were not the only imperative contributors to the auto glass industry. An intelligent, creative and determined woman by the name of Mary Anderson, meticulously created the windshield wipers. Apart from holding the title of being the first person to invent windshield wipers, she was also a real estate developer, viticulturist and a rancher.

INTERESTING AUTO GLASS INDUSTRY INVENTIONS AND INVENTORS

As many residents benefit from the significant amount of astonishing things that follow with driving a vehicle, they often refrain from seeking knowledge about one of the most important components – their auto glass and its accessories.

In 1903, this multi-talented woman was granted with her first patent for the invention of the automatic windshield wiper that was controlled by the driver, on the inside of the vehicle. Windshield wipers have since grown and have the ability to effortlessly change speeds and prevent objects from obstructing the views of drivers while they are driving in the whitby auto glass and surrounding areas. Windshield wipers are now used in both the front and rear ends of many cars. In 1923, it is said that a man named Raymond Anderson invented the first elector magnetic windshield. Inspired by his invention, a solid-slate electronic designed windshield intermitted wiper was introduced in 1961 by John Amos. In the year of 1963, yet another form of the intermitted wiper was introduced by an engineering professor named Robert Kearns. Taking into account the many key players who contributed to the auto glass history remains to be an interesting task for an immense amount of the industry professionals of today. There are many benefits that windshields,
