International Exchange
The International Exchange programme allows University of Chester students to study for a full academic year abroad at one of our bilateral exchange partners or through ISEP, a network of over 300 additional higher education institutions worldwide.
Tuition fees and livings costs vary depending on your placement and individual circumstances, but provide you with excellent value for money.
Our Study Abroad team will work with you to determine the most suitable route to increase your chance of admission.
Bilateral Exchange
This exchange option allows you to study at one of our partner institutions. Your chances of getting an exchange place at one of these institutions is higher due to our direct link with each University.
ISEP Exchange
ISEP Exchange offers you the opportunity to apply up to apply to up to 10 universities within the network per semester. While ISEP is a more competitive admissions process, it provides you with a greater range of study options and locations.
Experiential Overseas Learning
The Experiential Learning module gives you the chance to participate in a 5 week project at a destination around the globe, where you can experience a practical element to your learning.
From May to June in your 2nd year, you can contribute to projects involving international business, social justice, poverty, development and the environment. Some of the current destinations include South Africa, Uganda, China, Morocco, France and Costa Rica.
The experiential learning module varies in cost depending on the location, but you may be eligible for a scholarship of up to £500. In addition, you are encouraged to raise funds to cover your costs for social projects, and you may be eligible to be reimbursed for travel costs over £303. The Study Abroad team can advise you on your funding opportunities.
What’s Next? Contact the Study Abroad team to register your interest and book a place at one of our group presentations. This gives us the best chance to explain the requirements and give you an overview of the process, without you having to commit to anything.
