This session is open to all attendees. Having eChempax is not a requirement. There is no formal registration for the eChempax Open Forum, so stop by and see us!

236 eChempax Diagnostics (8:30 am - 9:30 am)Meet personally with members of the eChempax development group in a lab environment to discuss any questions that you may have about Datacor’s Customer Relationship Management software. You are encouraged to bring your laptop or tablet device.

The class will also focus on some of the Top Ten items submitted by the attendees and a status update on the software in general.

102 What’s New and Top Ten Requests Part II (12:45 pm - 2:15 pm)This session is a continuation of What’s New and Top Ten Requests Part I. It will feature highlights and demonstrations of the new development items that were completed throughout the year. The class will also focus on some of the Top Ten items submitted by the attendees and a status update on the software in general.

103 Freight Overview (2:25 pm - 3:25 pm)The ever changing freight conversation will be addressed in this class. We will review the many different ways it can be handled with in Chempax C/S. We will also cover why some ways may work better for certain circumstances.

104 Portal Success Workshop* (2:25 pm - 3:25 pm)This hands on class will allow you to walk through some of the exciting things our customers have recently changed in the portals to improve their business. Haven’t quite figured out the best way to leverage the Portals, attend this class for some starter ideas.

105 Implementing Barcoding (3:35 pm - 4:35 pm)If you are considering investing in warehouse automation, this class will serve as a blueprint for what you should be doing next. We will give an overview of what Chempax C/S has to offer and what steps should be taken to decide if it is the right fit for you. The class will also cover some of those getting started steps if you decide Barcoding is right for you.

106 Excel Tips and Tricks Workshop* (3:35 pm - 4:35 pm)This hands on workshop will introduce you to some of the advanced features of excel that can help you analyze and review your Chempax data. Think you know all Excel has to offer, think again and take this class to see what else there is.

How far along are you with meeting the compliance date and what tools have you used to get you there? Datacor Representatives will be on hand to facilitate but we are also looking for feedback from you.

202 Portal Success Workshop* (8:30 am - 9:30 am)This hands on class will allow you to walk through some of the exciting things our customers have recently changed in the portals to improve their business. Thursday, May 14, 2015204 Chempax C/S: Crystal Linking Workshop Part II (9:40 am - 10:40 am)Prerequisite: Crystal Linking Workshop Part ILast year many customers expressed success with understanding linking better after attending this class. This year the class will focus on linking to Contacts instead of Free Fields. If you ever wondered about the tips and tricks for linking tables into crystal reports, this is a class you must attend. The class is divided into two classes in order to give it all the attention it deserves.

205 Process Review (9:40 am - 10:40 am)Have you been running Chempax C/S for some time but haven’t taken the time to reevaluate how you use the software? If so you may want to attend this class. The class will discuss the experience of a Process Overview from the initial call to the onsite trip. We will also talk about some recent success stories and how they have benefitted from taking a different look at the software.

206 Excel Tips and Tricks Workshop* (9:40 am - 10:40 am)This hands on workshop will introduce you to some of the advanced features of excel that can help you analyze and review your Chempax data. Think you know all Excel has to offer, think again and take this class to see what else there is.

207 Documents Forum (10:50 am - 11:50 am)Over time several enhancements have been made to areas pertaining to Documents. This session will focus on some of those changes like the collation of documents, cloning of documents, and pdf stamping. There will also be time to discuss what other options you would like to see and share your experiences with fellow users.

208 Customizing Chempax C/S Screens Workshop (10:50 am - 11:50 am)Want it your way, then take this class. We will cover, hands on, how to customize Chempax to your liking through different methods including screen customization. We will also talk about other hot keys, tips and tricks that will help make you a power user!

209 Product Properties: Printing Inventory Labels and SDS’s (10:50 am - 11:50 am)During this session a Chempax C/S Representative will provide an overview of setting up and maintaining data for OSHA compliant Inventory Labels and SDS’s generated from Chempax C/S. Topics will include general Product Property features as well as those that relate specifically to GHS regulations. This class is ideal for the Product Property beginner as well as the experienced users as new enhancements will also be discussed.

210 EDI (1:00 pm - 2:00 pm)EDI continues to be a topic we routinely get asked about through C/S Support. We will cover the options you have within C/S for EDI and the typical process to implement EDI.

211 DB Maintenance Workshop (1:00 pm - 2:00 pm)What should you be doing daily, weekly and monthly to maintain your database. We will review each subject to make sure you keep everything running smoothly. We will also talk about employee turnover and the best way to handle the addition of new employees.

212 Mastering NRI – Workshop Part I (1:00 pm - 2:00 pm)In the past we have discussed multiple ways to get data out of this system. This year we will focus on the New Report Interface. Part 1 of the workshop will walk through changing the filter criteria to meet your needs. We will walk through adding tables and relationships to expand your filtering criteria. While you do not need to take Part II, Part II will expand on selecting filters and how to have them display on the report.

Thursday, May 14, 2015213 Mastering NRI – Workshop Part II (2:10 pm - 3:10 pm)Part II of this NRI class will focus on the crystal back end. Once you have decided what else needs to be on your report, you can use what you learn in the class to add it to the report. While Part I is not a prerequisite, we may use some examples from that class and flow them through to the Crystal portion of the report.

214 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) – Chempax C/S and eChempax (2:10 pm - 3:10 pm)This course will review different operating procedures that address the day-to-day events of servicing customers. We will demonstrate how to utilize automation and technology within Chempax C/S and eChempax to reduce the number of steps required to complete tasks such as: sending samples, processing returns, handling complaints, accessing MSDS and COAs, distributing literature, price change requests and approvals, special Lab requests and sending and tracking quotes.

215 Stump the Gurus (2:10 pm - 3:10 pm)In this fun interactive class you will ask any Chempax C/S question to see if you can stump the gurus. Once the question is asked, the guru will walk through the application to cover the topic. The topic may also be discussed within the group to see how others are handling the situation.

216 Chempax C/S One-On-One Support Session (Optional) (3:30 pm - 5:00 pm)This optional session is designed to provide attendees not going to New York City the opportunity to spend additional time with Chempax C/S team members. This will be your chance to try out the newest features and have your specific company issues answered. 301 System Forum (8:30 am - 10:00 am)The class will start with a brief overview of where we have come from in terms of hardware set up. From there the session will open up to discuss your system setup and what experiences you are having with it. Who still runs Citrix? What have people seen with Server 2012? Anyone love or hate their virtual environment? The conversation will go where you take it and hopefully expose people to other configurations that may help improve their own. Datacor will have experts on hand but please bring your experiences as well.

302 Platform Discussion (10:15 am - 11:30 am)This is an open forum to discuss and exchange ideas. Throughout the session Chempax C/S Team members will make short presentations on a couple of the newer features or features we have found to be underused. Also any Top Ten items not covered on Wednesday may be covered in this class. We will also solicit feedback from the community on what they learned during the week and what future enhancements they would like to see. Attendees can submit suggestions for discussion prior to the conference to [email protected]. Please reference this class in the suggestion. Lastly, we ask that you please come prepared to discuss any support or development concerns.

Wednesday, May 13, 2015107 Opening Session (9:30 am - 12:00 pm)The opening session will provide all ChempaxVB attendees an opportunity to discover “what’s new” across all of the Chempax modules.

108 AR Collections / Credit Card Processing Seminar (1:15 pm - 2:15 pm)The tracking and analysis of customer credit status is an essential part of the Accounts Receivable process. ChempaxVB has an ever expanding set of tools available to help out, from Customer File creation through Order Entry and the debt collection process. In addition, ChempaxVB now offers integration with Singular Payments, allowing you to accept credit card payments directly in Chempax. This seminar will walk you through the new credit card offering and discuss how it can work in conjunction with the other tools available for managing your AR.

109 Transitioning to ChempaxVB.NET Seminar (1:15 pm - 2:15 pm)ChempaxVB.NET is the new face of the Chempax VB software, so configuring it and getting users in a position where they can not only perform their jobs in the new interface, but are comfortable doing so, is a process that all Chempax installations will need to go through at some point. This seminar will review the native tools available to transition screen customizations and user personalization from Chempax VB6 to ChempaxVB.NET, and the options for rolling out the new interface to your user base. In addition to an overview of the features of the new user interface and data entry screens, the class will look at examples of commonly performed lookups and tasks in Chempax VB6 and explore how to accomplish those same goals in ChempaxVB.NET. The seminar will also detail the suggested system requirements for using ChempaxVB.NET, which do differ from the requirements for Chempax VB6.

110 Analyzing Chempax Data Using MS Excel Workshop (1:15 pm - 2:15 pm)Does your job involve analyzing data? If so, you probably spend a good deal of your day using MS Excel and much of the data you analyze probably came from Chempax. This workshop will show you various ways to bring Chempax data into Excel and then explore various built-in analysis tools such as queries and pivot tables.

111 Customizing ChempaxVB Screens - Basic Workshop (1:15 pm - 2:15 pm)Chempax includes a vast array of options and shortcuts which allow users to change the appearance and usability of Chempax screens. Some of these are cosmetic, such as screen colors and column layouts. Others, such as custom menus, favorites, tooltips, custom help guides and Spanish language support, can greatly aid in productivity. This workshop will give you an opportunity to learn about and practice using these features in both the ChempaxVB 6 and ChempaxVB.NET interfaces.

112 Customizing ChempaxVB Screens - Advanced Workshop (2:25 pm - 3:25 pm)With each new release of ChempaxVB, more and more capability has been added to allow the user to change the way Chempax looks and acts. Using the Custom Control Properties feature in ChempaxVB 6, and the “Customize” button in ChempaxVB.NET, you can move and resize fields, add your own fields to screens, turn text boxes into drop down lists, and add your own validation rules. This workshop will go beyond the basic features and guide you through the vast array of available options.

113 ChempaxVB.NET - Basic Workshop* (2:25 pm - 3:25 pm)ChempaxVB.NET (a.k.a. DOTNET) is Datacor’s next generation ChempaxVB product. ChempaxVB users have the option of installing DOTNET and using it together with the current ChempaxVB 6 product. The DOTNET interface presents Chempax data in a dynamic “business-centric” style which lets you look at your overall enterprise and then drill down to the part of the business that requires attention. ChempaxVB.NET also includes updated versions of the File Maintenance and Constants modules. This workshop will give you an opportunity to experience this new style of computing that will continue to replace the current look and feel of the current ChempaxVB 6 product.

Wednesday, May 13, 2015114 Catching Up With Chempax Seminar (2:25 pm - 3:25 pm)This seminar will review some of the new features that have been added to ChempaxVB in recent years that even long-time users might have missed. From brand new inquires and reports, to useful tweaks to programs you might use every day, this seminar will help you get the most of ChempaxVB. We will also review how you can keep up to date with ChempaxVB changes on an ongoing basis back in the office, including receiving email notification directly from the ChempaxVB team when new features are made available.

115 Accounting Forum (2:25 pm - 4:35 pm)This session will focus on topics specific to the AP, AR and GL modules in ChempaxVB. Each attendee will be invited to submit a “Top 10” list of items they would like to hear discussed. These submissions will be done on-line prior to the conference and attendees will be able to add their items or vote for items submitted by others. The items with the most votes will be discussed first during these sessions. The balance of the time will be used for an open discussion.

116 Implementing Barcoding Seminar (3:35 pm - 4:35 pm)The use of barcode scanners has continued to expand across the ChempaxVB user base. In this seminar, we will guide you through the steps needed to start using barcode scanners for basic operations such as physical inventory and location transfers. We’ll also describe the more advanced features that customers are using such as automatic transfers to staging areas, printing of barcode labels at the receiving dock, real time cycle counting, automated batch receiving and pallet license plating.

117 ChempaxVB.NET - Advanced Workshop* (3:35 pm - 4:35 pm)For those who have already started to use DOTNET, this will give you an opportunity to look at newly developed features, learn more about advanced grid manipulation and discuss future directions directly with the developers. This class will also provide an opportunity to configure your own Dashboards using the new Chempax Analytics features.

118 Introduction to the ChempaxVB Database and MS Access Workshop (3:35 pm - 4:35 pm)This workshop introduces users to the ChempaxVB database. We will explain some of the basic concepts of the MS Access relational database and show you how you can extend the capabilities of ChempaxVB by working directly with the data. You will learn how to best use ChempaxVB’s built-in Table Browser and then go further by using queries and other features of Microsoft Access. We will also review tips and techniques specific to Access 2010 and 2013. If you are new to ChempaxVB, or you are ready to look “under the hood”, this workshop is a must.

Thursday, May 14, 2015217 Manufacturers Forum (8:30 am - 9:30 am)About half of the companies that attend interAXions identify themselves as manufacturers. This seminar will provide an opportunity for attendees from these companies to focus on topics specific to their industry segment and will include the Top 10 lists for the BT and QC modules. This session will also provide an opportunity to discuss the recent integration of Chempax with Formulator Software. Each attendee will be invited to submit a “Top 10” list of items they would like to hear discussed. These submissions will be done on-line prior to the conference and attendees will be able to add their items or vote for items submitted by others. The items with the most votes will be discussed first during these sessions. The balance of the time will be used for an open discussion.

218 Managing Cost and Price Changes Seminar (8:30 am - 9:30 am)Due to rapidly changing financial conditions, much attention has been paid to the process of changing prices in ChempaxVB. This seminar will review the methods available to plan, implement and analyze price changes in Chempax, and show you how to let your customers know about planned price changes in an efficient and timely manner. We will also demonstrate some of the newer features, including customer/product margins and future pricing based on anticipated “replacement” cost.

Thursday, May 14, 2015219 Tracking Non-Conformance Group Discussion (8:30 am - 9:30 am)Having a detailed audit trail of customer complaints and other customer service issues can be essential to long-term customer satisfaction, not to mention required for certain industry certifications. Some customers utilize the Chempax Non-Conformance module, which allows for the standardized entry and tracking of this important data. This session will provide an opportunity to discuss how you track non-conformance and learn about techniques that other customers are using. Datacor is hoping to use this information as the basis for an eventual migration of the Non-conformance module to ChempaxVB.NET.

220 Customizing ChempaxVB Reports - Basic Workshop (8:30 am - 9:30 am)In addition to providing a repository of data, MS Access is used to produce all standard ChempaxVB reports. This workshop will show you how to customize any of these reports as well as use them as a starting point to create your own specialized versions. We will also show you the correct way to save and publish these reports so that they can be backed up and made available to your users. This workshop is also appropriate for those who are using the SQL Server version of ChempaxVB.

221 Customizing ChempaxVB Reports - Advanced Workshop (9:40 am - 10:40 am)For those who are ready to move beyond standard ChempaxVB reports, this workshop will expose you to the powerful set of tools provided by ChempaxVB and MS Access. You will learn how to create and publish your own report and create a form to assist users in running your custom reports. Attendees should have a basic knowledge of MS Access tables and queries.

222 Reconciling Data in Chempax Group Discussion (9:40 am - 10:40 am)One of the more common questions encountered by Chempax VB support is: “why does this number not match that number.” This most often comes up for financial data at month or year-end, but it might also relate to costs, inventory, sales and other types of data. This group session will ask participants to discuss their most common reconciliation issues and what tools they use or techniques they have developed to handle these problems. Chempax VB team members will guide the discussion, suggesting existing methods for reconciliation, and noting where improvements can be made in Chempax as a focus for future development.

223 Physical Inventory / Cycle Counting Seminar (9:40 am - 10:40 am)Although many companies count their inventory only once a year, ChempaxVB offers a number of useful options and features which can save you time and money and improve the accuracy of your counts. You might even consider counting more often once you’ve learned the advantages of doing so and what features are available in Chempax VB to facilitate cycle counting. This seminar will be also include a discussion of options such as tag inventories, bar code scanning, mobile data collection, location control, and cost entry.

224 Customer Service Forum (9:40 am - 11:50 am)This session will focus on topics specific to the Order Entry, Invoicing, Pricing and Sales Analysis modules in ChempaxVB. Each attendee will be invited to submit a “Top 10” list of items they would like to hear discussed. Thursday, May 14, 2015226 Living with GHS Group Discussion (10:50 am - 11:50 am)All chemical manufactures and distributors will need to comply with OSHA’s implementation of GHS (Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling) by June 1, 2015. Chempax customers are continuing to work towards compliance with the regulations and we expect for many, that process will continue beyond the deadline. Companies continue to struggle with issues such as how to classify their products, printing multi-color GHS labels and obtaining correct GHS data for raw materials. This session will provide to an opportunity to share experiences with other chemical companies and learn about new options which have are available both from Datacor and other sources.

227 Intermediate/Advanced MS Access Techniques Workshop (10:50 am - 11:50 am)If you are already familiar with MS Access tables and queries and you’re ready for more, this workshop will you show you how to further leverage the power of MS Access. We will show you how to create simple data update forms, crosstab queries, subforms and subreports, and other features which will allow you to extend the capabilities of Chempax.

228 ChempaxVB.NET - Basic Workshop* (1:00 pm - 2:00 pm)ChempaxVB.NET (a.k.a. DOTNET) is Datacor’s next generation ChempaxVB product. ChempaxVB users have the option of installing DOTNET and using it together with the current ChempaxVB 6 product. The DOTNET interface presents Chempax data in a dynamic “business-centric” style which lets you look at your overall enterprise and then drill down to the part of the business that requires attention. ChempaxVB.NET also includes updated versions of the File Maintenance and Constants modules. This workshop will give you an opportunity to experience this new style of computing that will continue to replace the current look and feel of the current ChempaxVB 6 product.

229 Optimizing the Shipping Process Group Discussion (1:00 pm - 2:00 pm)There are various techniques ChempaxVB customers have used to plan and track shipments using Chempax. Some of the features include using Open orders by B/L (OE8) as a dispatch screen, using barcode scanners to pick products to staging locations, scheduling truck runs and integrating with UPS Worldship. There are also options for how shipping documents are printed, saved and distributed that can simplify the process. This session will provide you with the opportunity to compare notes with other customers and help make your shipping process as efficient as possible.

This seminar will explain the various tools and procedures available for maintaining the ChempaxVB database, and will cover such topics as applying Chempax LiveUpdates, Compacting and Repairing, Archiving, partitioning the database to manage growth, and diagnosing common problems.

234 ChempaxVB.NET - Advanced Workshop* (2:10 pm - 3:10 pm)For those who have already started to use DOTNET, this will give you an opportunity to look at newly developed features, learn more about advanced grid manipulation and discuss future directions directly with the developers. This class will also provide an opportunity to configure your own Dashboards using the new Chempax Analytics features.

We will look at the interfaces available for linking documents to ChempaxVB data, and options for automatically creating documents and linking them to various types of Chempax transactions. One area of focus will be the continuing enhancements to the distribution options for documents via Chempax, including the ability to add your own “stamps” to documents received from vendors in the form of PDFs.

305 Material Resource Planning Seminar (8:30 am - 9:30 am)This course will explore features available in ChempaxVB for analysis and management of inventory, specifically focusing on those that would most benefit a Distributor type business model. We will start with the tools that are available to provide simple yet useful analysis based on current inventory levels and pending transactions. We will also review both the Inventory Management (IM) Module and the Resource Planning (RP) Module, discussing the differences between the two. We will look at the procedures required for the setup and ongoing maintenance of both IM and RP, and follow through with a review of the analysis tools that will be available and the ultimate output once the modules are fully implemented.

306 Administration/Information Technology (IT) Forum (8:30 am - 10:40 am)The Administration/IT Forum will cover topics involving Chempax maintenance and administration, including the Administration, File Maintenance and Constants menus. If you are maintaining your QC data outside of Chempax, this might be the opportunity you’ve been wating for to fully integrate your QC data into Chempax. Topics will include a discussion of the different types of test results, setup of Product Specifications, capturing QC test result data, and the options available for the analysis and the distribution of QC data.

308 Sales Analysis and Forecasting Seminar (9:40 am - 10:40 am)ChempaxVB offers a large number of reports and inquiries which allow for the analysis of sales and profit data. The available options range from detailed transaction reports, to summaries by month, month range or year, with a nearly endless number of subtotaling choices. This seminar will compare and contrast the various programs on the Invoicing and Sales Analysis menus to help you determine which are best matched to meet various sets of requirements.
