mashed grains.

A main part of their diet consists of hay.• Horses are now used mainly for recreation.

Before cars, they were used for transportation and in the place of tractors.

• Cows are used for milk and steers for meat.

• Trucks come and take that milk to plants to be bottled or used for cheese and ice cream.

• Events range from Dairy Cows to Dog Agility classes.

allergic to cow’s milk often can drink goat’s milk.

• Goat cheese is a popular food.

Baling Hay• Hay is comprised of

grasses and legumes, such as alfalfa.

• It is cut when full height, normally three times a summer.

• Once it is dry, it is raked up and baled.
