A second Medical Camp was accordingly arranged at Panghali Sharif, the doctors were warm welcomed by Sahibzada Jabar Ali Shah Hamdani, Sajada Nasheen of Pangali Sharif an`d Makhdoom Abbas Shah Hamdani.In this week OPD 112 patients including male, female and children were operated. It was also decided to get medical tests facility in the next week at the door step of Medical Camp with nominal charges. On 1 st March, 2018 the undersigned received a telephonic call that the Swabi Tobacco is ready to deliver 20,000 plants to the Inter-Cultural Youth Council. These plants were delivered to Anjuman Faizul Islam (an Orphanage Home) Mandra Campus G.T. Road Mandra. RECEIVED 20000 PLANTS FROM SWABI, KPK PROVINCE BY THE INTER-CULTURAL YOUTH COUNCIL ISLAMABAD ON 01-03-2018

Last Year in the month of September, 2018 the Inter-Cultural Youth Council, Islamabad was requested to provide trees for plantation. Mr. Ahmad Husain contacted Mr. Bait Ullah Khan, Director Leaf Department, Pakistan Tobacco Company for donating trees. The trees were purchased by Kunjah, Gujrat and Swabi PTC Nursery. On 1st March, 2018 the undersigned received a telephonic call that the Swabi Tobacco is ready to deliver 20,000 plants to the Inter-Cultural Youth

The workers of Anjuman Faiz-ul-Islam received 20,000 plants which they stored in a suitable

place. Fortunately, by the grace of Allah it rained at night which kept the plants watered. Later Mr. Ahmad Hussain visited the Anjuman Faizul Islam, Mandra Campus and met the manager of Mandra Campus. He also advised them to preserve the

plants and start preparing the ground for planting the trees in their campus which covers an area of 200 kanals.

Mr. Ahmad Hussain advised the staff from Anjuman Faizul Islam to prepare the land for planting the trees. An opening ceremony for the Tree Plantation Program will be launched soon.

Another request for plants was made by the Government High School Bhatta who were given 1000 plants. The Bhatta Grave Yard has also been initially given 1500 plants.

A request for plants was made to the Inter-Cultural Youth Council by Raja Sultan, Chairman, Mother Welfare Foundation, Gujar Khan who

have now received 5000 plants for plantation in Gujar Khan.

On 08-03-2018 the Social Welfare Officer, Tehsil Gujar Khan, Government of the Punjab, telephonically informed Mr. Ahmad Hussain that their first Pilot Project of tree plantation will be launched at Raja Sarwar Shaheed Degree College Territory. The Principal was very happy and welcomed the Coordinator of Inter-Cultural Youth Council and other participants regarding the tree plantation program. Further, on 08-03-2018 at about 11.00 a.m. an opening ceremony was held in the college grounds. The Principal of the College dug a whole himself for planting the first tree. The Principal and the employees of Social Welfare Gujar Khan and other

representatives of NGOs received Ahmad Hussain, Coordinator, Inter-Cultural Youth Council, Islamabad. A meeting of NGOs was called in the office of Rao Adnan, Social Welfare Officer and prepared a plan how to inaugurate the tree plantation program of opening ceremony.

Raja Sultan suggested to start this Pilot Project at Sarwar Sheed Degree College. It was given the name of this project “GREEN GUJAR KHAN PILOT PROJECT” of Mother Welfare Foundation, Gujar Khan.

This Pilot Project was a joint venture with Social Welfare Office Gujar Khan and Mother Welfare Foundation, Gujar Khan. Due to him Mother Welfare Foundation was approached the undersigned to give them tree plants. Prominent social workers and officers, officials, college administration and other were present in the opening ceremony.

Every body planted saplings of tree there and made the event a success. After plantation, a prayer was held by the participants. A tea was served by the Principal in his office and he thanked all the participants. The Coordinator, Inter-Cultural Youth Council was asked to say some thing about this project. In his opening remarks he said that the plants were provided by Pakistan Toibacco Company Swabi Nursary KPK free cost and distribution free of cost. He appreciated the idea of Rao Adnan Ahmed, SWO and Raja Sultan, Chairman Mother Foundation, a good selection for tree plantation. He was of the view that Inter-Cultural Youth Council Islamabad is ready to provide more plants there from its “GREEN POTHOWAR PROJECT” to make the College GREEN. He

thanked the participants who came from the remote area of Gujar Khan and make the event a success.

Welfare Foundation, in his welcome speech, said that he is very happy to receive 5000 plants as per his written request and Inter-Cultural Youth Council Islamabad Coordinator, completed his promise and provided 5000 plants to him free of cost. He thanked all the participants. He said that

he approached the Forest Department Gujar Khan and requested them to provide some plants. The representative of the said department told him that they are ready to provide them the plants subject you pay Rs.12/- per plant. He told them that Inter-Cultural Youth Council Islamabad is ready to deliver 5000 plants free of cost. So I thanked the Coordinator who made the event a success. Without whom the Coordinator was it was unable for them to make this event a success. Some plants were given to other NGOs from Raja Sultan by himself which was

appreciated by the participants. It is to mention here that Mr. Sultan distributed some plants to some NGOs of Gujar Khan. On 9th March, 2018, the Coordinator Inter-Cultural Youth Council telephonically thanked Mr. Sikandar Khan of Tobacco Swabi Centre. He was

asked to provide complete address to write and acknowledge with thanks the receipt of 20000

plants provided by them. An acknowledgement letter was written to them by the Coordinator Inter-Cultural Youth Council, Islamabad.

THIRD MEDICAL CAMP AT BHANGALI SHARIF, TEHSIL GUJAR KHAN On 11-03-2018 the undersigned visited to witness the 3rd Free Medical Camp at Bhangali Sharif, Tehsil Gujar Khan by Noman Umer Hospital G.T. Road Mandra permanently. This camp was set up which will continue in the year 2018. Number of male and female along with children were seen as OPD. 50 patients were operated in this day. The medical team was welcomed by Pir Jabar Ali Shah Hamdani, Sajada Nisheen, Bhangali Sharif along with other local people.

TREE PLANTATION AT SHAHEED AMJAD INAYAT JANJUA BOYS HIGH SCHOOL BHATTA, TEHSIL GUJAR KHAN

On 13-03-2018 the Chairman / Coordinator (Ahmad Hussain), Inter-Cultural Youth Council Islamabad, visited at Village Bhatta, Tehsil Gujar Khan, (which is his native town) inaugurated 1000 tree plantation program at Shaheed Amjad Ali Janjua Boys High School Bhatta, Tehsil Gujar Khan, Distt. Rawalpindi. A number of boys (students) High School along with Principal Ch. Tariq Mehmood of the said School, staff members of the school participated in this celebration. It is interesting to note here that the students were taken a very keen interest and they enjoyed to plant trees and dig the holes at their own and shown an attractive behavior in this regard. They promised water these trees every day till they become a part of the soil. Ahmad Hussain, Coordinator / Chairman, Inter-Cultural Youth Council, Islamabad, was welcomed by the Principal Ch. Tariq Mehmood and other staff members of the school. In his

inaugural address, he thanked Ch. Tariq Mehmood, Principal of the High School and other staff members for this cooperation in plantation program arranged by the Principal. He was very

happy to see the interest shown by Ch. Tariq and other staff members along with students. He

thanked all the staff members, students and specially Ch. Tariq to make the event a success and planted 1000 plants in a short time period.

Ch. Tariq Mehmood, Principal in his welcome address, thanked Mr. Ahmad Hussain, Coordinator / Chairman, Inter-Cultural Youth Council, Islamabad, who have provided/arranged 1000 tree plants to the Boys High school, Bhatta. He said that it is his passion to plants trees at his own interest. He was very happy to see the plants. He promised to look after the plants just look after the students. 2000 plants were handed over to the Grave Yard of Village Bhatta and surrounding areas i.e. Gumti, Charahin, Arra. Mr. Tasleem received these plants from Anjuman Faizul Islam, Mandra Campus.

INAUGURATION OF TREE PLANTATION AT

GOVERNMENT COLLEGE FOR WOMEN DAULTALA TEHSIL GUJAR KHAN 13-03-2018: 5000 plants were given to Raja Sultan Mehmood, Chairman, Mother Welfare Foundation, Gujar Khan for plantation at Government College for Women Daultala, Tehsil Gujar Khan. He along with other local people participated in the opening ceremony of Tree Plantation at Government Women College Daultala. Raja Sultan Mehmood himself along with his team inaugurated the tree plantation program at Government College for Women, Daultala. 5000 plants were handed over to them and distributed some plants to some NGOs to the surrounding areas of Daultala. They all were very happy to see these plants and demanded more plants. These plants were given to them free of cost.

CELEBRATION OF UN INTERNATIONAL WOMEN DAY AT MUZAFFARABAD AJ&K. On 14-03-2018: The undersigned Coordinator, Inter-Cultural Youth Council, Islamabad, Pakistan was invited by Peace Group of Journalist, Muzaffarabad, AJ&K, to celebrate UN International Women Day observed by United Nations. This organization is non-profit working for Peace among the religions, welfare of Women, education and vocational centre. It is affiliated with URI (United Religions Initiative, Sanfrancisco, USA) and doing well job at Muzaffarabad. Mr. Saeed-ur-Rehman Siddiqui, Coordinator, Peace Group of Journalist, Muzaffarabad welcomed him at his office. Number of women from different walk of life attended this function.

They were happy to see him there and they also welcomed me at Muzaffarabad. The Coordinator brief me about his CC, its working regarding uplift of development of women, their education and skill development particularly the development and education of Kashmiri handi crafts. They have a separate Peace Women Development Centre, Peace Model School. The CC have its members from the Journalist, Advocates and Female Advocates who are providing free legal aid to deserving Female, poor and needy people. They also provide free education to the needy, poor and orphans students. Vocational training is free for widow, orphan girls. A well known young journalist, social worker and well educated personality Mr. Saeed-ur-Rehman Siddiqui is the Coordinator and Chairman of the said NGO. Coordinator Youth Council addressed the gathering about the celebration of UN International Day of Women. He advised the women to work hard and get education, particularly quality technical education, Kashmiri vocational training to introduce in the world and become earning member of your family. They were told that UN is looking after the affairs of Women world wide. UN believe the gender equality and provide equal

status to the women. I told them that our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) 1400 years ago, during his last message during Haj (called Khutba Haj) which was celebrated by Muhammad (PBUH) said that you will be warned to be care full about women. You will be the answerable at the time.

4TH MEDICAL CAMP AT BHANGALI SHARIF

On 17-03-2018 a fourth, Medical Camp was organized by the Noman Umer Hospital at Bhangali Shgarif. This time the administration of Noman Umer Hospital, decided to organize the camp on Saturday instead of Sunday because of

holiday. Due to Sunday the Doctors have to be busy some where and it was not possible for them to attend regularly the said camp. So it was decided to shift this camp on every Saturday. This day more than 60 patients were seen in this camp

and given free medicines to them.
