INTENSIVE GENERALENGLISH

The key clients for this qualification are international students from non-English speakingcountries who wish to undertake a non AQF award General English Course using

the New English File material from 10 to 50 weeks tuition time.

The entry point can be anywhere from “Beginner” to “Advanced” across the four macro skillsof listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Typically, these students may wish to improve

their English quicker to move to a VET, or Higher Education Qualification upon completion.

Pre-requisites

Course Fee:Delivery of the modules may be through text, topic or theme-basedapproaches. Discourse features, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and graphology aretaught within these contexts. Learners may study material at different levels, particularly when there is adifference in proficiency in macro skills. To facilitate this, The Eagle Academymay offer specialist classes, specific modules from another Certificate levelto groups of learners, or alternative delivery modes if approved by theDirector or authorised member of staff. At completion of study, students will receive an ELICOS Certificate statingthe level achieved.

We cater for beginner toadvanced level. We will determine the mostsuitable level for each student,with the flexibility to move upand down as required. Learners who do not havebeginner level skills must enrolin 20 weeks of tuition or more.
