The Vericat Training Institute was created as a result of the scientific consolidation of a clinical project initiated by Dr Alberto Vericat, oral surgeon with 20 years’ experience dedicated exclusively to dental implantology.

The training offer of the centre has been specifically designed for odontologists and stomatologists who wish to expand or improve their knowledge.

The Institute operates under the direction of Dr Alberto Vericat, and Dr Vicente Antonino is the academic director.

The Vericat Training Institute has its own teaching team and also works in conjunction with nationally and internationally renowned professionals in order to offer the students a comprehensive view of each discipline.

The specialisation programmes in the Vericat Training Institute are focused on four major knowledge areas:

· Oral implantology. · Prosthetics, implant prosthetics and cosmetic dentistry.· Periodontology.· Coaching and management of dental clinics.

Next to the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, the Vericat Training Institute is at an excellent location in one of the most bright and modern parts of the city.

The facilities are over 1,350 m2 and include:

· 19 dental chairs.· Conference room equipped with 4K projector.· CCTV to follow live surgeries from different parts of the Institute, including the conference room, with the functionality to interact with the operating theatre.

In addition, the students can enjoy premises created exclusively for them, such as changing rooms, breakfast area and rest areas.

These are state-of-the-art facilities for training at the highest standards, prepared to train the best professionals in the field of implantology, prosthetics and periodontology, the foundations of oral rehabilitation.

Intensive Course On Immediate Loading

This intensive training programme lasts 3 days and has beendesigned for odontologists and oral and maxillofacial surgeonswith some experience in the field of implantology.

The objective of the course is that the attending students acquirethe necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to incorporateinto their daily clinical practice the immediate loading techniquesfor implantology in single-piece, partial and complete edentulous cases.

To this end, a highly practical programme has been designed, where participants can watch live implant surgeries with immediate loading and the placement of the provisional fixed prosthesis on the same day of the surgical operation.

During surgery, it will be possible to ask all sorts of questions realtime about the techniques being used.

From a theoretical point of view, the programme has been prepared to develop the key requirement and concepts that willallow applying the immediate functionality technique in a predictable way.

8.30 am - 12.00 pmLive surgery of complete upper maxilla with severe posterior atrophy: attaching 4 implants in the premaxilla and two zygo-matic implants in the posterior region for immediate loading.

12.30 pm - 13.30 pmLive surgery covering the attachment of 2 implants to treat a partial edentulous maxilla to replace lower incisors for immediate loading.

1.30 pm - 2.00 pmDiscussion and questions about the cases treated in the morning.

4.00 pm - 5.30 pmTheory:

· Immediate loading of temporary pieces:· Elaboration of temporary pieces.· Clinical and laboratory procedures.· Design of temporary pieces.· Importance of temporary pieces for soft tissue aesthetics.· Occlusion with immediate loading.· Suggestions for patients with immediate loading.· Requirements of the prosthetic abutments to perform immediate loading treatments in:· Single-piece edentulous cases· Partial edentulous cases· Complete edentulous cases (including all on four)

11.30 am - 12.30 pmLive surgery of single implants after extraction in the front maxilla region, associated to the technique of connective tissue grafting and immediate loading.
