Copyright Infringement Penalties

Criminal

• Pays the actual dollar amount of damages and profits.

• The infringer can go to jail up to 5 years.

Civil

• Financial from $200 to $150,000 for each work infringed

• Pay for all attorneys fees and court costs.

• Injunction to stop the infringing acts.

• Impound the illegal works.
