STEM : Key Points/reflections

• Science and STEM should be part of our culture – like music, the arts.• Misconceptions – STEM is for nerds..• Science broaden career opportunities. Eco development – Pol message• YouTube channel – for BHP Bill awards – • Create a dedicated web site for social media links – (Israel + Brasil )

Teachers/students/winners • Get student to design a social media hub – create a competition..• Increase inclusion from Gov – Fed – State. Funding/Policy • Better partnership models – BHP/ create share value models to drive

outcomes/results. Other Aust Industries employers. (Eureka Awards)• Get Russ to video the BHP Awards Presentation – 26 national Finalist –

backdrop to PR strategy• Get our PM to be an honorary sponsor – patron of the BHP and ISEF awards –

finalists..(our kids are rock stars..!)• STA’s on rotational invite to Ed Ac – 3 people + CSIRO – bi-funded my CAG

Australia ($12.5 k) • Online reg (web portal – e-system dev) – to stream line the process. • Build Crest to grow the fairs. + support Intel PD• DEEWR -Fed Gov : invite – STEM lead – at Ed Acad in 2014.

Top 3 items to action

1. Workshop with Shell on Inq in the Science CR. + Jon Price round table.

2. Streamline online process – registration : and enabling STA to work in a collaboratively way

3. Develop a joint 1-3 year PR strategy with CSIRO.
