Prerequisites

Ensure that the following tasks have been completed:

• The BTS site and transmission commissioning tasks have been completedbefore the BTS software is activated.

• The BSC that the BTS is connected to is integrated with the NetAct.

• The ET (Exchange Terminal) for the BTS site(s) is installed and configured

in the BSC.

• The BSC ET is in working state.

• The correct BTS software package is available either in the BSC or NetAct.

• If GPRS functionality is included, the software package must includesupport for GPRS.

• The name and identification numbers of the transmission objects areavailable.

• MSC parameters have been created.

Create LAPD Links

• The D-channels on Abis interface are the O & M signalling link (OMU link,OMUSIG) and the telecom signalling link (TRX link, TRXSIG).

• Check the BCSU for signaling capacity then find a suitable BCSU in thecorresponding BSC with signaling capacity available for the new link.

MML command for checking : ZEEI::BCSU;Example : Checking BCSU at BSC Baturaden

Z EEI::BCSU:;

Create LAPD Links

Create LAPD Link Using MML CommandZDSE:<D-channel link set name>:<unit type>,<unit index>:<service access pointidentifier>,<terminal end point identifier>:<bit rate>,<PCM-TSL of D-channel>;

Naming convention for LAPD link name (D-Channel link set name) :

For O & M signaling link (OMU link,OMUSIG) : OM<BCFid>

For telecom signaling link (TRX link,TRXSIG):T<BCFid><TRXid>

Where : BCFid = BCF number in 3 digit decimal format,

TRXid = TRX number in 1 digit hexadecimal format,

Unit Type : BCSU

Unit Index : BCSU index for the new l ink created

Service Access Point Identifier (SAPI) : For OMUSIG, SAPI =62, For TRXSIG, SAPI =0

Terminal End Point Identifier (TEI) : For OMUSIG, TEI =1, For TRXSIG, TEI= 1-12 ß CORRESPOND WITH TRX NUMBER

Example : If the BCF id =1, and PCM/ET ID = 98, configuration 3/3/3 TRX
