IP GUIDELINES FOR UKRAINE
Don’t assume that Ukrainian IP laws are similar to yours. Do remember that Ukrainian IP laws have local peculiaritiesand practicalities.
Don’t assume that IP rights assignment agreement aloneis sufficient for IP enforcement in Ukraine. Do beware that a lot of other formal paperwork is required for enforceable IP assignment.
Don’t assign future IP rights in Ukraine. Do beware that only existing IP rights can be assigned inUkraine.
Don’t assume that IP registration in the jurisdiction of originis sufficient to protect IP in Ukraine. Do register IP in Ukraine as a designated country under Madrid procedure or PCT.
