Diesel particulate filters, SCR, and energy recovery systems are a particular challenge for develop-ment engineers and temperature designers. These sensitive systems must often be aided by high-performance insulation installed in sometimes extremely complex geometries.

Thermamax develops and manufactures custom metallic blankets for leading producers of hydrolysis systems, diesel particulate filters, and combined SCR-DPF modules.

Energy recovery

Regulations for noise emissions are getting ever stricter – as are requirements on the sound charac-teristics of engines generally. We have succeeded in integrating both requirements in one product.

The combination of thermal, acoustic, and noise-absorbing capsules realized in Tmax-SONETHERM absorbs undesirable noise and effectively reduc-es local sound pressure levels by up to 3dB(A).

Tmax-SONETHERM can be used on all components of the exhaust system, for example the exhaust gas turbocharger, exhaust pipes, catalytic converter, diesel particulate filter, or the muffler.
