Course work includes networking technolo-gies, operating systems administration, in-formation policy, intrusion detection, security administration, and industry best practices to protect data communications.
Career InformationSecurity professionals work with various op-
erating systems, access control methods, and monitoring systems to reduce the likelihood of data theft, implement company policies, and ensure compliance with applicable laws such as HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, and PCI DSS.
Graduates should be prepared for employ-ment as security administrators. Additionally, they will acquire the skills that allow them to pursue security certifications.
