INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING THE BBB DYNAMIC SEALFACEBOOK TIMELINE

STEP 1 – Go to boston.bbb.org and login with your Business ID, email and password.

STEP 2 – Once logged in, click on “BBB Seals and Buttons”.

STEP 3 - Click “Generate Your Accredited Business Seal Online Code for you Website”

STEP 4 – Choose the desired seal color, orientation, and whether or not to display your BBB rating. Be sure to go through all four steps. They appear one click at a time. Highlight the seal code and copy. Now the code is in your clipboard and you can paste it into your website.

STEP 5 – You will need a BBB Accredited Business Seal image to replace an existing image of an application downloaded on Facebook. Please download the jpeg image named AB_Seal.jpg found at the following link on the BBB intranet and provide this image to your AB via e-mail or other means: https://evaluations.bbb.org/uploads/intranet/AB_Seal.jpg

You will need to save this image somewhere easily accessible once logged into Facebook.

STEP 6 – In a new window, login to your Facebook account and click on your Facebook business page link located in the left navigation. In the “Search” box, search for and select “Static HTML: iframe tabs”.

STEP 7 – Once selected, this page will come up. Click “Add Static HTML to a Page”.

STEP 8 – Return to your business’ main page. You may automatically be taken back to this section or need to scroll down to this point. Next, rename the tab and also change the Static HTML: iframe logo. Click on the “pencil” and select “Edit Settings”.

STEP 9 – Here, you will enter a “Custom Tab Name” of “BBB Business Review” or “Our BBB Rating” and click on “Save”. Stay within this window to replace the Static HTML: iframe logo with the BBB Accredited Business Seal.

STEP 10 – To upload a “Custom Tab Image”, select “Change” within that same Edit Static HTML: iframes tabs Settings window. The following page will display and again select “Change”. Within the Upload a Page Tab Image window, click on “Browse” and search for AB_Seal.jpg. This is the image provided by BBB. Upload this image, save, and click on “Okay”.

STEP 11 – When completed, return to the business main page and see the results below. Next, the HTML code for the dynamic BBB Accredited Business seal will need to be pasted into the Static HTML: iframe application. Click on the tab name (“Our BBB Rating” shown below) and select “Edit Application”.

STEP 12 – This screen will appear. Within the “Public Content” box, paste the code copied from the BBB Dynamic Seal Page and click on “Save”. One saved, “all saved :)” will appear where the “Save” button was previously. You can then click on “Preview” to see how the seal will display to visitors.

STEP 13 – Installation is complete. Return to the business’ main page by clicking on the tab shown below.

STEP 14 - When visitors visit the business’ Facebook page, they will click on the “BBB Business Review” or “Our BBB Rating” tab to reveal the BBB dynamic seal. When the seal is clicked, the BBB Business Review for that business will display within the business’ Facebook page.
