Updated Guidance Since Last Meeting
Updated Guidance Face Coverings/Masks CDC/IDPH/DCHD
● Recommends everyone, including fully vaccinated individuals, wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas with substantial and high transmission. This recommendation includes employers, retailers, restaurants/bars, fitness/recreational centers, libraries, governmental entities, healthcare facilities, and other public venues.
Close Contacts and Quarantine IDPH/DCHD
● When following mask guidance:○ Vaccinated: no close contact or quarantine (unless they have symptoms)○ Unvaccinated: close contact 3 feet and quarantine is 10 days (without
symptoms)

Face Coverings/Masks
All students, staff, visitors and volunteers may wear a mask indoors and must while riding a bus, regardless of vaccination status. (Masks Optional)

Preliminary Return to School Plan Details● School will return to a traditional 8 period day with lunch.
○ Limited outdoor eating spaces will be provided.○ First day back - modified schedule (Grades 11/12 in AM and Grades 9/10 in PM) with common
expectation meetings by year in school in each session. Focus on expectations and support.
● Stay home when sick.● Continue to promote and provide opportunities for students, staff, and the
community to be vaccinated.● Mask wearing will follow CDC/IDPH/DCHD guidance based on transmission
levels in the county - updated each Friday. ● Maintain a distance of more than 3 feet as much as possible.● Guidance from federal, state, or local health officials - or an increase of illness at
school - could cause changes in practices.
Close Contacts and QuarantineContact Tracing:
● CDC still defines close contact as an individual who is not fully vaccinated and was within 6 feet of an infected person for 15 minutes or more cumulatively over a 24 hour period.
● When following mask guidance, contact tracing is at 3 feet.
Quarantine
● Per the CDC, those vaccinated or those that have had COVID in the past 90 days do not need to quarantine.
● When following mask guidance, quarantine is at 10 days.
Return safely to in-person instruction for all students
Continue to:
● Promote and provide opportunities for students, staff, and the community to be vaccinated.
● Maintain practices around ventilation, handwashing and respiratory etiquette.
● Respond to changes in guidance from federal, state, or local health officials.
Plus:
● Add additional supports and programming to help students return and remain successful.
