Twisted PicturesTwisted Pictures is the production company of the well-known franchise ‘Saw’, as well as other horror movies. They are based in Los Angeles, CA. And have shown success in all of their films. The reason I have chosen to research this institution is because of their unique take on horror. They step away from the generic Horror that has a murderer and a group of survivors.

Twisted Pictures is a subsidiary of Evolution entertainment which is an American independent entertainment management and film production company. Evolution entertainment is an independent business not owned by any of the major conglomerates however has produced some success film such as the Saw series and Texas chainsaw massacre.

What other subsidiaries are owned by the parent company?

The box office success of the horror film saw led to a distribution deal with Lionsgate and the formation of Twisted Pictures. It is a small, independent production company so doesn’t own any other subsidiaries except Twisted Pictures.
