INTRODUCTION I will present work is about the biography of an English group called GREEN DAY, and I hope you like it.

BIOGRAPHY Green Day is an American rock band originating from Berkeley, California and formed in 1989 bye Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt, who joined a year later to found Sweet Children, wich was later renamed Green Day. This group was one of the drivers of the second wave punk, after 1990, when ther recorded the 1994 album Dookie, their third album. Currently consists of Billie Joe Armstrong(vocals and guitar), Mike Dirnt(bass and vocals) and Tr Cool (drums).

With their first two albums were about five million sales each. However, this figure has tripled (to over fifteen million copies) with Dookie, and this is their most successful album. His nect album, Insomniac, produced the same numbers with their first album, five million sales.

Green Day has sold over 65 million albums worldwide and 26 million in the U.S. alone, abd several awards inchuding four Grammy Awards Record of the Year fot Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

After the release of American Idiot in 2004, the group remained idle for five years (except the release of several singles) until the release of his latest album, 21st Century Breakdown, 15 May 2009.
