The aim of color management is to preserve true color information, by makingup for the differences in the way devices communicate color.
ICC Profile
In color management, an ICC profile is a set of data that characterizes a colorinput or output device. Profiles describe the color attributes of a particulardevice or viewing requirement by defining a mapping between the device sourceor target color space and a profile connection space (PCS).• This PCS is either CIELAB (L*a*b*) or CIEXYZ.
• Mappings (Rendering Intent) may be specified using Look-Up Tables, to whichinterpolation is applied.
