Installing the Driversn Remove the CD from the sleeve.n Put the CD into the CD-ROM .n The setup program will automatically run.n DO NOT connect the tool to the computer.

License Agreement Acceptance

Driver Installation

Once the Installation is Finished…

Done with the Drivers, Toolbox Next.

The Toolbox Installation program willautomatically launch.

Toolbox 2 License Agreement…

Installation Directory.

Installing, Installing, Installing…

and Done.

OK, now plug in to the car.n Connect the Vehicle cable to the DLC and

Pass Thru Tool.

And now the Computer.n Plug in the USB cable to the Pass Thru tool

and the Computer and key the car on.

Connecting the J2534 Cablen Plug the OBDII end into the DLC.n Plug the USB into the Computer.

And now you will see…

Select “No,…” and click Next.(XP only)

Just click Next.(XP Only)

Give it a minute to talk to itself.

…and Done.

Time to Look at the Toolbox 2.n Double click the icon on your desktop.n The program will take a minute to load

completely.n Make sure you still have to Pass Thru tool

Connected and the Vehicle Keyed on.

Select your Pass Thru Tool and pressConnect.

Vehicle Check: Can you talk to thecar? Is it responding?

Debug Check: Having Problems?Make a log so the issue is recorded.

Lets talk to that car. Go to VehicleCheck, and press Check Connection.

Vehicle Checkn You should have 1 active protocol and the

rest will be inactive.n This will confirms that the Pass Thru Tool is

talking to the car and it answered.n This will also tell you battery voltage, VERY

Important, and Pass Thru Tool information.n Always close the Toolbox before starting a

reprogramming session.

Some Suggestionsn Put a power supply on the battery.n Disable your Screen Saver.n Laptop users: Check the energy

management settings. Make sure thelaptop isn’t going to power down due touser inactivity.

n Keep Java and Flash updated on yourcomputer.
