This manual is a guide to the Installation,Operation and Maintenance of theERITECH SYSTEM 3000 LightningProtection System.

It assumes that the system to be installedhas been designed by an authorized ERICO

    representative. The system design willinclude:

Grounding system design - a configuration should be designed as a result of soil resistivity analysis.

Downconductor routes - chosen to avoid other services, maintain minimum bending radii and minimize downconductor run length.

    Downconductor securing requirements.

    Terminal types - operating environment.

CAD analysis design software whichdetermines terminal placement, mast &height requirements as well as protectionlevel calculation.

All of the above are recommended for asuccessful installation. If there is any doubtabout any of the points mentioned, pleasecontact ERICO or your nearest Distributorfor clarification.
