Connections to be made

The following wires are for aftermarket multimedia/navigation radios that provide these wires, if not tape off and disregard:

• ConnecttheLight Greenwiretotheparkingbrakewireoftheaftermarketnavigationradio,ifapplicable.

• ConnecttheBlue/Pink wiretotheVSSorspeedsensewireoftheaftermarketnavigationradio,ifapplicable.

• ConnecttheGreen/Purplewiretothereversewireoftheaftermarketnavigationradio,ifapplicable.

From the 14-pin GM harness to the aftermarket radio:

• ConnecttheYellowwiretothe12-voltconstant/batterywire.

• ConnecttheBlackwiretothegroundwire.

From the 22-pin harness to the aftermarket radio:

• ConnecttheBlack wirewiththeringterminaltotheradiochassisusingISOscrewsthataresuppliedwiththeradio.

Note: This wire must be connected as instructed otherwise the interface will not be functional.

• ConnecttheRCA’stotheAUXinputofyourafter-marketradio(ifequipped).

The Black/Yellowwireandadditional12-pinharnesswillbediscussedlaterinthismanual.

Note: The relay attached to the GMOS-LAN-012 is only for audile turn signal clicks. No extra steps are required to retain this, so leave it as-is.

Installing the GMOS-LAN-012

1. Withalltheconnectionscompleted,plugthe22and16-pinharnesses intotheGMOS-LAN-012.

2. Plugthe16-pinand14-pinGMharnessesintothevehiclesideharness,andplugtheaftermarketradioharnessintotheaftermarketradio.

3. Reconnectthenegativebatteryterminal.

4. Cyclethekey,byturningtheignitiononfor30seconds.Thenoffandonagaintotesttheradio.

Testing the GMOS-LAN-012

1. Turntheignitionon,andthenturntheaftermarketradioon.

2. PushtheOnStarbutton,theradioshouldturnoff(radiowillmuteifmutewireisconnected)andyoushouldhearOnStar.PushtheOnStarcancelbuttonandtheradioshouldcomebackon.

Interface Installation

Chime Volume AdjustmentToadjustthechimevolumeuseasmallscrewdrivertorotatethepotentiometer,locatedonthe16-pinharnesssideoftheinterface,clockwisetomakethechimelouderandcounterclockwisetomakethechimesofter.

OnStar Level AdjustmentToadjusttheOnStarvolumelevelfindtheBlack/Yellowwireonthe22-pinharness.PushtheblueOnStarbutton;whilethevoiceisspeakingtaptheBlack/Yellowwiretoground.Thereare4volumesettingsforOnStar;oncethe4thsettingisreachedandtheBlack/Yellowwireistappedtogrounditwillautomaticallygobacktothefirstvolumesetting.OncethevolumeissetitwillstayatthatvolumeuntiltheBlack/Yellowwireistappedtogroundagain.Thiscanbesetduringinstallationandthenleftalone.Ifuseradjustmentisdesired,thecustomermayalsotapvolumeupordowntoadjusttheOnStarlevel.

Backup Harness Thisharnessisusedwhenyouaretryingtoretainthefactorybackupcamera.PlugintheYellowRCAoftheharnesstoyouraftermarketradiosbackupcameravideoinput.

Additional 12-pin harness (ASWC-1 harness)The12-pinharnessthatisattachedtotheGMOS-LAN-012harnessisforusewiththeASWC-1(soldseparately).PleaserefertotheASWC-1instructionsforprogramming andoperation.

2. PresioneelbotónOnStar,elradiodebeapagarse(elradiosequedaráensilenciosielcabledesilencioestáconectado)yusteddebeescucharaOnStar.PresioneelbotóndecancelacióndeOnStaryelradiodebevolveraescucharse.
