Prerequisites

Before you run the setup wizard, make sure that the computer meets the following minimum hardware and software requirements: Hardware: Pentium 4 Compatible CPU, 1GB RAM and 5GB free hard disk space Software: Windows 2003 /2008/2012 Server, 32-bits or 64-bits



Preparation

To the DualShield Authentication Server, DualShield Radius Server is an authentication

agent. For an authentication agent to be able to connect to the authentication server,

the agent must be registered in your authentication server.

For security purpose, the agent registration function is disabled by default. You need to

enable the Agent Auto Registration function in your DualShield authentication server.

You need to enable the Agent Auto Registration function in your DualShield server. In

the DualShield Management Console, select “Authentication | Agents” and press the

“Auto Registration” button on the toolbar:

You may want to enable the “Check IP” option for extra security. If this option is enabled,

then in the “IP Address” field you must enter the IP address of the machine where the

RADIUS server is being installed.



Installation

To install the DualShield Radius Server, launch the installer DualRadiusSetup.exe and go

through the following steps:

Administration Port:

The Administration port is the port accessed by the DualShield Authentication Server for

the purpose of managing the DualShield Radius Server .

Authentication Port:

The Authentication Port is the standard Radius authentication port.

Accounting Port:

The Accounting Port is the standard Radius accounting port.



Step 7: Agent Registration

Change the Registration URL to the URL of your DualShield server. Please note that the

protocol of the connection to the DualShield server must be set to HTTPS. The default

port of DualShield server is 8071.
