INSTALLATION
Customer Information: The information in thisinstallation instruction is intended for use onlyby skilled technicians who have the propertools, equipment, and training to correctly andsafely add equipment to your car. Theseprocedures should not be attempted by “do-it-yourselfers.”
Routing the Fog Light Harness
1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code forthe audio unit, then write down thefrequencies for the preset buttons.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from thebattery.
4. Remove the right rear seatback side frame byremoving the bolt.
3. Inside the passenger's compartment area, removethe rear seat cushion by removing the bolt andreleasing the two hooks.

5. Open the trunk lid, and remove the trunk floor byremoving the two clips.
6. Remove the trunk weatherstrip from the edge ofthe trunk opening in the area shown.
7. Remove the rear trim panel by removing the fourclips and releasing the two hooks.
8. Inside the trunk, fold the right rear seatbackforward by pulling the lever under the rear parcelshelf.
9. Continue removing the weatherstrip in the areashown. Remove the five clips, then pull out on theright trunk side trim panel in the direction shown.

• Remove the center console cover by removing thethree clips that fasten the center console cover.
11. Open the center console lid, and remove the mat.
12. Remove the two self-tapping screws, two screws,and two clips that fasten the center console, thenremove the center console.
• Remove the center console cover by removing thethree clips that fasten the center console cover.
10. Remove the center console cover.
M/T Vehicle
• Pull down on the shift boot, then loosen thefastening nut by turning it counterclockwise.
• Remove the shift knob by turning itcounterclockwise. Remove the fastening nut byturning it clockwise.

14. Release the eight clips, and remove the driver'sdashboard lower cover by pulling it toward you.Take care not to damage the clips.
13. Turn the knob counterclockwise, release the twoclips and remove the driver's dashboard undercover by lowering the cover and pulling it towardyou. Take care not to damage the clips.
15. Release the four clips, and remove thepassenger's dashboard under cover by pulling ittoward you. Take care not to damage the clipsand pins.
16. Release the two hooks and remove the lid abovethe front console pocket.

17. Remove the two bolts from the bottom of thecenter panel.
18. Release the ten retaining clips, and pull the centerpanel toward you.
19. Unplug the right vehicle connectors, then removethe center panel.
Routing the Bus cable
20. Route the bus cable along the vehicle harnessfrom the trunk side.
21. Return the right rear seatback, then remove theclip securing the floor carpet. Turn over the floorcarpet.
22. Route the bus cable connector as shown.

23. Route the bus cable forward to the right frontconsole frame along the vehicle harness.
24. Route the bus cable connector to the dashboardand out through the dash opening.

25. Measure 300 mm from the end of the bus cableconnector, then secure the bus cable to thevehicle harness with three wire ties.

26. Secure the bus cable to the vehicle harness withfive wire ties.
27. Using isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, clean thearea where the cushion tape will attach. Attach thebus cable to the floor panel with the two cushiontapes in the area shown.

With the vehicle bracketUsing the isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, cleanthe inside of the vehicle bracket where thecushion tape attaches. Attach the cushion tape onthe vehicle bracket at the location shown.

28. Turn over the floor carpet, and attach the buscable to the floor panel with the three cushiontapes in the areas shown.
29. Secure the bus cable to the vehicle harness withthe five wire ties in the areas shown.
Installing the CD Changer
30. Carefully unpack the CD changer.
31. The adjustment knobs have been set to thevertical (V) position before shipping the CDchanger from the factory. Move the adjustmentknobs to the horizontal (H) position using a smallflat-tip screwdriver.
32. Position the CD changer brackets on the sides ofthe CD changer, then install the four 4 x 8 mmwasher-screws.

33. Position the CD changer on the CD changerbracket, then install and tighten the four 6 mmflange nuts.
34. Wrap one EPT sealer around the bus cableconnector from the CD changer, then secure thebus cable and connector to the CD changerbracket with the two wire ties you just installed.
35. In the trunk, slide the clip nut into position on therear seat panel through the hole in the panel. Ifnecessary, spread the clip nuts open with a smallflat-tip screwdriver.
36. Loosely install the washer-bolt to the rear seatpanel first. Then place the end of the CD changerbracket between the seat panel and the clip nutyou just installed.

37. Slide the two clip nuts onto the CD changerbrackets and rear shelf through the holes in theparcel shelf, and align their holes as shown. Installthe two washer-bolts, and tighten them securely.
38. Connect the bus cable connector to the CDchanger connector from the CD changer.

39. Fold the excess bus cable and secure the buscable to the holes of the rear seat panel with thetwo wire ties with clip.

40. Plug the bus cable connector, vehicle 20-pinconnector (blue), and antenna lead into the rear ofthe audio unit.

41. Connect the four vehicle connectors to the centerpanel, and reinstall the center panel.
42. Check that all wire harnesses are routed properlyand that all connectors are plugged in.
43. Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
44. Reset the clock and the radio station presets.
45. Check the operation of the CD changer asdescribed in the accessory user's informationmanual.
46. Reinstall all removed parts. Be sure that allretaining clips and tabs are secrely fastened.
47. Put the accessory user's information manual inthe glove box for your customer.
48. Initialize and test the front window auto up/downfunction.
