Particularly important information is distinguished in these instructions by the following notations:

NOTE: A NOTE provides key information to make procedures easier or clearer.

CAUTION: A CAUTION indicates special procedures that must be followed to avoid damage to the motorcycle/ATV and/or accessories.

WARNING!: A WARNING indicates special procedures that must be followed to avoid injury and/or death to a user or person inspecting or repairing the motorcycle/ATV and/or property damage.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

See illustration on last page.

1. Attach hydraulic ram (I) onto the base (A) using (2) M8 x 25 Hex bolts (S), (2) spring washers (Q), (2) washers (T). Tighten the bolts down securely.

2. Using bolt M6 x 15 (U) fix the ram to connecting rod (E), then tighten down securely.

3. Attach the foot pedal (J) to the hydraulic ram (I) and secure using M8 x 25 bolt (S). Tighten the bolt down securely.

4. Place the safety lock operation rod (D) insert into safety lock (N) using (2) spring washers (Q) and (2) nuts (R). Tighten nuts down securely.

5. Attach handle (F) into connecting rod (E) using bolt M8 x 25 (S). Tighten bolt down securely.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION!!!

WARNING!: Failure to heed these instructions may result in severe personal injury, death and/or property damage.

1. Do not exceed the 1,500 lb. rated capacity.

2. Keep clear of load while lifting and lowering.

3. Inspect before every use; do not use if parts are loose or damaged.

4. Do not move motorcycle/ATV while on the lift.

5. Keep hands away from the lift arms when raising or lowering the lift.

6. Never allow anyone to ride the lift or sit on the motorcycle/ATV when it is being raised, lowered or while holding a motorcycle/ATV.

7. This lift is only for motorcycles/ATVs. Do not stand on the lift or use lift as a platform.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

WARNING!: Before operating the lift, be sure all personnel responsible for lift operation have reviewed the instructions on how to raise and lower the lift safely; and have reviewed and understand the Important Safety Information contained in these instructions.

WARNING!: Do not operate the lift when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medications.

NOTE: Make sure that all items are removed from any saddlebags or Tour Boxes before using the lift.

TO RAISE:

1. Place the lift on a hard, level surface.

WARNING!: Use only on hard, level surfaces, such as concrete.

2. To avoid any risk of of the load slipping during operation, first locate the center of the weight load for the best balance.

NOTE: You want the center of gravity of the motorcycle/ATV to remain at the center of the lift. Adjust the lift forward or backward to control this before lifting.

3. Position the lift without the load so that the saddles (C) are positioned in the center of the weight load where the load is distributed evenly. The motorcycle/ATV is to be positioned perpendicular to the lift on the saddles (C) and balanced.

WARNING!: Lift only on frame rails, do not lift on engine cases, exhaust systems, etc. Do not use blocks to space between the motorcycle/ATV and the lift.

4. Pump the foot pedal up and down until the saddles contact the load; then check to assure the saddles and the weight are positioned correctly before raising the motorcycle/ATV.

CAUTION: Load the lifting pads equally. This means that both the front and rear of the motorcycle/ATV should raise up at the same time.

5. Stabilize the lift by adjusting the locking screws (G) to the ground for a secure footing.

6. Raise the lift to desired lifting height.

CAUTION: Raise the lift slowly, especially initially, to confirm the security and balance of the load.

7. After reaching the desired height, confirm that the safety lock (N) is down and in a lock position. Lower the lift slightly to engage the locks securely.

WARNING!: Immediately after lifting the load, ensure the safety lock is engaged.

8. Use four tie-down straps (not included) to secure the load to the lift base (A) through the tie-down loops (P) and tighten straps.

WARNING!: Secure the load with appropriate restraint device(s).

TO LOWER:

WARNING!: Lower the load safely.

WARNING!: Before lowering the lift, ensure that there are no obstructions underneath the lift.

1. Loosen the locking screws.

2. Raise the lift slightly and push down on the operation rod (D), releasing the safety lock.

3. Press the release valve (K) very gently lowering the saddle and its load.

WARNING!: Speed of the descent is controlled by the release valve. Ensure the descent is slow and controlled to avoid the risk of sudden dropping.

4. Remove the tie-down straps after the motorcycle/ATV is securely on the ground.

STORAGE/MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS:

WARNING!: Only fully-qualified persons should attempt maintenance or repair of the lift.

1. The lift should be stored on a hard, flat surface in the lowered position.

2. The lift should be kept clean and free of foreign substances, like grease, oil, gasoline, etc.

3. All moving parts should be periodically lubricated with general purpose spray lubricant and the excess overspray cleaned off.

4. DO NOT adjust the hydraulic cylinder pressure relief valve. See Figure 1.

NOTE: Parts are listed and shown for illustration purposes only and are not available individually as replacement parts.
