INSTALL SONICWALL GLOBAL VPN CLIENT

Step 1: Download the VPN Connection software from SonicWall.  This will install the program into your home computer. Click on the link below to begin the download.

Download Global VPN Client (Click Here)

Step 2: Click OK. This will download the program.

Click OPEN.

Step 3: After opening the file a new screen will appear, click SETUP. See figure below, the correct setup file is highlighted.

Step 4: Click NEXT to begin the installation.

Step 5: If you have any firewall software such as: Black ice, Zone alarm, Norton Internet Securities or McAfee Firewall please disable them now. Click NEXT when you are ready.

Step 6: Select “I ACCEPT” and click NEXT to continue.

Step 7: Accept the default path and click NEXT to continue.

Step 8: Click INSTALL to continue.

Step 9: The VPN Client should now be installing. This step takes a few minutes, please be patient.

Step 12: After the installation is finished, you should see the following screen. Select “start program now” then click FINISH.

Now that the VPN Client is installed it has to be configured to the SonicWall. The following steps and screen shots will walk you through this process.

Click NEXT to the screen below to begin.

Step 13: Select “Remote Access” the NEXT to continue.

Step 14: Fill in the following information:

IP Address or Domain Name: (see email for info)Connection Name: (see email for info)

Step 15: Select “Enable this connection When the Program is launched”. Also select checkbox for “create desktop icon”, this icon will be used for future connections to SonicWall.

Step 16: The first time the connection is launched a prompt will appear for a Pre-shared key. (See Email for info)

When the connection is launched the SonicWall Client window will popup for a user name and password. Enter your user name and password.

The SonicWall Client should now show connected.
