Thank you for selecting the Crane Plumbing low consumption toilet. To insure this product is installed properly, please read these instructionscarefully before you begin. Be sure your installation conforms to local codes.

Before Beginning: Unpack the toilet andcheck to make sure there is no damage. Closet Carrier Support: The appropriatewall carrier must be obtained for this unit.Refer to the instructions supplied with the carrier.For proper installation of a 4-bolt support system

wall cavity requirement, and rough-ininformation for waste outlet piping.

A Word of Caution: The new toilet is madeof fine china like the best quality tableware.It is ruggedly constructed, however extra careshould be exercised during installation whenrough handling and the danger of droppedtools threaten to chip or crack it.

Water Supply: Refer to applicable Rough-in drawing for proper location of watersupply.

Obtain the proper Flush Valve for use withthis fixture. Refer to products from: Sloan,Delany, and Zurn for reference.

The use of a Closet Carrier Support is required.

FIXTURES COMPLY WITH AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT WHEN MOUNTED AT RIM HEIGHT OF17” ABOVE FINISHED FLOOR.

Installing the Toilet

Place the felt or neoprene gasket on the bowloutlet.(wax ring is not recommended) When thebowl is installed, The gasket must becompressed sufficiently against the hub to effecta gas and watertight seal.

DO NOT APPLY TOP RIGHT FIBERWASHER AND CAP UNTIL OTHER CAPNUTS HAVE BEEN FIRMLY TIGHTENEDUSING A WRENCH.

Pour water into the bowl to prevent theescape of sewer gas.

The fixture stud should extend 2-1/8” from thefinished wall (A). Bearing washers and nuts mustbe flush with the wall (B).The waste inlet hub should extend 5/16” fromthe finished wall (C). Use a felt or neoprenegasket (not a wax ring) on closet outlet.

Refer to instructions provided with the ClosetCarrier System for specific installationrequirements.

NOTE: Bearing nuts and washers mustbe set to take full loading from the fixtureallowing 1/16” clearance between fixtureand wall.

Follow support manufacturer ’s recommended setting of closet outletconnection.

Install bowl on support using cap nutsand fiber washers with the back-up nutsand washers.

DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN NUTS, ASVITREOUS CHINA EASILY CHIPS ANDCRACKS.Install top right cap nut with fiber washerand run up hand tight. Wrench tighten1/4 turn.Apply sealant to gap between bowl andfinished wall. Wipe away excess sealant.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FORWALL HUNG VALVE BOWLS

Lift the bowl and move it toward the wall.Slip mounting studs through thecorresponding holes in the bowl. Makesure the gasket is in place.
