In 1945, Max Böhler and Ferdinand Weber founded Böhler and Weber (later to become BÖWE) in what had been a cowshed in Augsburg. What had started out as an inventive manufacturer of everyday goods, soon became one of the world’s leading solution providers to modern mail production centers through its pioneering spirit and feel for the market. The company grew with such revolutionary products as what was once the world’s fastest inserting system and the invention of an entirely new inserting
technology, the Flow-Principle. Further high points have been the application of its core Track & Trace expertise to the field of serialization and the move into businesses of the future such as parcel sorting. Coupled with its high level of automation and fast job changeovers, this makes the Fusion Cross perfect for all transactional or direct mail inserting applications.
BÖWE SYSTEC’s Flow-Principle is a completely new inserting technology that spans the entire production process. The actual inserting process is given more time by slowing the filling speed down by a factor of 4.5, but overall output is increased because this special inserting principle allows stable, reliable and flexible pro-cessing of documents, enclosures and envelopes.
