Alternatively, you can book as a small group at a "xed price - we will provide both pricing alternatives at the time of quotation.

If you select option 2 then please know: You will share a coach with another group at our discretion.

We will do our best to ensure that you travel to the resort/area of your choice. Should this not be possible we will accommodate you in a resort of similar size, standard etc and in a hotel of a similar standard.

Bad Kleinkirchheim Excellent skiing for schools

The resort of Bad Kleinkirchheim (BKK) is located in the Corinthian Mountains to the south of Salzburg and is a spa town of repute. Not only can you ski on tree-lined runs but the numerous spa baths offer relaxation at the end of a day on the slopes. The village is chic with attractive hotels and chalets with numerous shops and activities to compliment the skiing. Quite simply, BKK has something for everyone!

The ski runs are long and wide and have some great tree lined routes. The nursery slopes are situated close to the village offering superb gentle and wide pistes, to aid quick progress to all that is on offer here. Intermediate skiers and boarders have some incredible red runs giving endless opportunities for improvement before progressing to the more dif"cult pistes. Bad Kleinkirchheim and St Oswald each have their own beginner’s area, BKK’s beginner skiing is close to the village and are excellent for the early lessons. The ski runs are linked, so that it is possible to ski across the resort in the week. As the week progresses the ski school is happy to start from different points to ski as much terrain as possible.

Nassfeld is a ski area comprising several villages in southern Austria close to the Italian border. Our accommodation is based at Tropolach where there is access to a large and much under rated ski area, together with Feistritz. The villages are quite small but have a few shops and bars and are a safe environment for groups.

Despite being Austria’s sunniest resort (with about 15 per cent more sunshine over the winter than the Tirolean resorts) Nassfeld also claims to be one of the snowiest. The main nursery slopes are at Tressdorferalm, at 1,590-metres, which is next to the second station of the Millennium Express which means beginners can be assured of good snow and sun. There are two beginners’ lifts here too for easy progression. Nassfeld is an intermediates’ resort par excellence. It is dripping with red runs where intermediates can improve themselves without being terri"ed. There is a choice of red runs from virtually every lift. For advanced skiers there is variety and good mileage to test their skills.

Schladming lies amidst the beautiful Dachstein Mountain region in the Austrian province of Styria. It really is a world-class, international resort and coupled with an excellent snow record, your group’s holiday in Schaldming will be memorable. It is a lovely town with a traf"c free centre and the surrounding mountains are all linked to provide extensive skiing for all abilities.

Even though Schladming is at a relatively low altitude the majority of the slopes are north facing and the snow record reliable from November to April and with excellent snow-making facilities, the snow is guaranteed on the extensive upper slopes. We recommend that beginners start at Rohrmoos where the best nursery slopes are located. With the help of the ski school, progress is rapid and there is soon the opportunity to ski further a"eld. For intermediates the whole area provides numerous runs through the trees with plenty of challenges to test new skills. For advanced skiers there are some steep and challenging runs through the trees and the World Cup runs to satisfy any adrenalin rush.

AccommodationWe are delighted to offer two delightful hotels that are family run and work hard to make your stay memorable.

The valleys of Radstadt, Flachau, Wagrain and St Johann-im-Pongau combine to form the enormous terrain of the Salzburger Sportwelt ski region which offers an amazing 350km of skiing. It is one of the largest ski areas in Austria where well prepared, groomed pistes and 130 lifts await you. With numerous long, gentle slopes, this ski area is perfect for beginners and intermediates enabling groups to cover big mileage for a real sense of achievement.

Most beginners will "rst ski on the nursery slopes local to them. At Wagrain where our accommodation is located the beginners will start off on the local nursery slopes before heading for the “Flying Mozart” gondola for high speed access to the upper slopes. For the advanced the Zauchensee and Alpendorf areas have some testing black runs. Snowboarders will "nd ample challenges in the fun parks and half-pipes at Alpendorf, Flachau and Kleinarl. The lift pass includes a courtesy bus to the Grafenbeurg side of Wagrain, giving access to Alpendorf.

For those interested to ski Hoch Koenig, Maria Alm offers Austrian atmosphere in abundance. With the last link in place, groups have access to 150 kms skiing between Maria Alm and

Ski Juwel was a brand new ski area opened for winter 2012-13, created by linking the existing resorts of Wildschonau and Alpbachtal into one larger area. The area has a reputation as one of the best places to learn to ski with extensive nursery slopes and very attentive ski schools. Access to the ski area is from several villages along the valley !oor - Niederau, Oberau, Alpbachtal and Wildschonau - and all are typically Tyrolean with tradition and character.

There is a wide range of enjoyable skiing on tree-lined pistes and above the trees that is suitable for all levels of ability. The resort is typi"ed by quiet slopes amid fantastic scenery, with the interconnected lifts providing 145km of well-groomed pistes.

Mölltal Glacier skiing at Mölltal provides snow sure conditions throughout the season - even at October half term!

The ski area is accessed from Flattach where our accommodation is located. The village is in the valley below the glacier and offers a selection of shops and cafes. It is a 7km slope transfer to get the train through the mountain to the ski area. The Moelltal Glacier is the only one in Carinthia. Here the slopes are open from October to May ensuring excellent snow conditions for groups and is just perfect for early and late season holidays. The ski area is compact and offers a selection of wide, open blue runs with good progression on to reds for the intermediates. Some technical reds, blacks and of piste skiing provide plenty of challenges for more experienced skiers and snowboarders. The latter is highly rated in this resort. The construction of a new lift has increased the ski area by 40% and will only enhance the excellent school skiing to be found already. The ski area of Mallnitz is 19kms away and included on the same lift pass.

In our opinion, this is an excellent school group resort with a fantastic snow record for those travelling at each end of the season.

Zugspitz Arena Excellent school skiing on the Austria-Germany border

The Zugspitz Arena comprises several villages in the Loisach Valley, with Ehrwald, Biberwier and Lermoos being the most important. The scenery is spectacular, with the towering Zugspitz overlooking the ski areas; the valley is spectacularly beautiful. The various villages are pretty, traditional and typically Tirolean. The skiing is ideal for groups that have predominantly beginners and early intermediate skiers and is testament to the notion that you don’t necessarily need to ski big, famous ski areas on huge mountains. Lermoos is the largest of the ski areas, although they are all accessible on the local bus system and the lift pass covers them all. The skiing is on wide, open pistes where con"dence levels will quickly rise and students will aspire for more, namely the progressive red runs that develop skills but do not overawe.

Aaccommodation for this resort is located in Reutte, which is 14kms from the ski area.

AccommodationAlpenhotel Ernberg

The Alpenhotel Ernberg is located at the edge of the village of Reutte, where a group can enjoy the atmosphere of a traditional Tirolean villageRooms for students are mainly 2-4 persons, all have private facilitiesThe capacity of the hotel is 55 persons and so ideal for sole occupancyThere are spacious public areas; groups will have their own dining room that can also be used for meetings and activitiesMeals are full board with a packed lunch

It is one of the biggest ski resorts in Europe; Serre Chevalier covers 250 kilometres of pistes, at altitudes of between 1200 and 2800 metres, for everyone from beginners to expert skiers!

The sheer expanse and variety of the ski area provides runs for all abilities. There are many wide and gentle runs, ensuring beginners and intermediates don’t get stuck with tough routes home or experts get bogged down with !at terrain. Two-thirds of the mountain is wooded, tree-lined skiing, and the north-facing slopes hold the snow. This is the stuff of dreams with a few feisty black runs to be sampled in Monetier (Serre Che 1500) for the adventurous.

FRANCE

The village is very old and developed from a farming settlement on the col du Montgenevre where it was also the only route between France and Italy for many years, and remains so today but for very different traf"c. Away from the main road there is a lovely old village to explore which retains its character since the main road bypasses the village centre. Overall, Montgenèvre is a good budget venue by French standards. It offers no frills, but great snow and a variety of skiing for all abilities.

Found two kilometres from the Italian border, Montgenèvre is the one French direct link into the massive Milky Way network, with its hundreds of kilometres of pistes. At 1860m, this small resort has a very good snow record, ski-to-your-door accessibility and cheap and cheerful accommodation and restaurants. The skiing at Montgenèvre is excellent for all abilities.

Located at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites to the north of lake Garda, Andalo offers skiing for all abilities with hotels in the beautiful lakeside village of Molveno, located 5km away or in the village itself. The stunning scenery of the Dolomites surrounds both locations. One of the nicest things about Andalo is the friendly village, which has both character and life. You don’t get high prices and the village offers plenty to do.

Andalo is a connoisseur’s ski resort and good skiers really rate it. It’s better than the comparatively modest mileage would suggest. Everyone who skis here, whatever their standard comes back with rave reports. We have no hesitation in recommending it to any school group. There are miles of informally pisted skiing through the trees and some fabulous off-piste too. The runs have great variety and the lift company groom them to corduroy perfection. Investment is continuous with an uplift that is "rst class; modern, swift and well organised, with high-speed chairs predominating. Andalo has something for everyone!

Cesana is centrally located and a genuine Italian village with lots of character. This is a great place to stay to access the massive ski area. There are only a handful of hotels, a few shops and a great pizzeria in Claviere!

One of the smaller legs of the Milky Way spider (400km of lift-linked runs), Cesana offers access to the French resort of Montgenèvre (one day included on the lift pass). There is a !at nursery area in the village and a long blue starting above the tree line for beginners, whilst intermediates and the more advanced will enthuse over the tree lined runs back to resort.

Aprica is a lively town with plenty of life. The hotels are arranged along the snow front making it quite linear, but there is great access to the slopes. After a days skiing there are numerous cafes, bars and shops to distract you!

The skiing is organised in three interconnected areas. For beginners the nursery slopes in the village give an excellent start to the ski experience. From the Palabione lift there is then access to more challenging blues and reds. Intermediates will enjoy the reds above the tree line and through the trees back to resort whilst for advanced skiers the blacks provide a further challenge. Everyone will enjoy the long blue from Piana di Galli back to the base station.

Bardonecchia is found on the Italian side of the Fréjus tunnel, which links Italy and France, making it very accessible from the UK. The town is not a purpose built resort and so retains an authentic character; a small regional town whose economy is now based on tourism. The old part of the town typically has cobbled streets with plenty of souvenir shops, cafes, bars and other retail outlets.

Bardonecchia is a top class resort but not that well known. It was one of the Olympic villages for the 2006 Games and saw a range of improvements to the infrastructure. At the head of the Susa valley surrounded by 3000m peaks and facing N and NW it keeps its snow over the season. Beginner slopes are at the base of Campo Smith with good progression from the beginner area to the blues and reds above 1500m with both open and tree-lined runs. There are easy runs to resort. will not be liable include, but are not limited to, avalanches, !oods, snowfall beyond the capacity of the authorities to clear promptly, "re, civil commotion and terrorism. In particular, the Alps experience very severe weather conditions from time to time which may delay or prevent your trip and we do not accept liability where this could not have been avoided by any reasonable efforts on the part of the company or its suppliers.

c) Please note that tobogganing, polybagging and bumboarding etc is inherently dangerous and should not be undertaken by school party members, and is at the group leader’s discretion.

d) In respect of claims arising from travel by road rail or sea our liability (including liability for death injury or illness) will be limited in accordance with the relevant international convention so that we will have no greater liability than the carrier concerned.

Tour detailsAll tour details are prepared with great care. If there are any changes subsequent to printing we will advise you of them. We cannot accept responsibility for the effects of weather conditions (roads, access, avalanches or land falls, pistes, ice rinks), maintenance of ski lifts and other installations, festivals, holidays, traf"c conditions etc. The operation of ski lifts and ice rinks is often restricted in low season periods and no refunds in respect of this can be made. If building work takes place which may have a detrimental effect on you holiday we will advise you as soon as we are made aware of it.

b) Where applicable hotels may make a charge for the use of advertised facilities eg swimming pools, sauna, solarium etc. All hotels reserve the right to remove televisions and telephones from the student’s rooms.

c) Towels are not always provided and soap rarely is. Groups should make their own arrangements for this.

d) Irrespective of the number of rooms indicated in each description, students may be accommodated in rooms up to 6 persons and exceptionally at holiday centre in rooms for 8. In some cases private facilities may be adjacent to the room rather than en-suite. Bunk beds, divans, couch beds, and pull-down beds may be used; in apartment accommodation there may occasionally be a double bed. Single rooms are not readily available. Free places are granted on the use of a double, twin or multi-bedded rooms. If a single room is required or necessary for whatever reason, an additional charge of £70 will be made in respect of persons travelling on free places. Twin and/or double rooms for staff are usually subject to con"rmation at the time when requested as part of the "nal party details. If unavailable you will be noti"ed as soon as we are aware.

e) Rooms must be vacated after breakfast on the "nal day. If, at its own discretion, the hotel is able to provide rooms until departure it will. If not rooms cannot be retained until departure, arrangements will be made for showering/changing facilities as may be available.

Itineraries and coachesa) We will advise you of approximate departure and channel crossing times but will not be in a position to "nally convey this information until it is con"rmed by the channel operator concerned. We will however provide this information no later than when "nal travelling instructions are sent out approximately 10 -14 days before departure.

b) It should be remembered that at peak travelling times there is considerable pressure on limited travelling capacity. We will attempt to meet each party’s travelling preferences in terms of ferry or shuttle timings but such arrangements must, for operational reasons, be entirely at our discretion.

c) You have unrestricted use of you coach during your stay for travelling to the slope or for entertainment purposes during the stay, subject to EU regulations.

d) Whilst, once a minimum of 40 persons have been paid for, a party normally enjoys exclusive use of a coach, any unoccupied seats remain at the disposal of the company to use for client or staff. Such a requirement, which applies equally to a small party, is unusual but we reserve this right in case of necessity.

e) In the case of breakdown, the company undertakes to provide alternative transport at its own expense and, as necessary, for skiing. It should be noted, however that the company will not accept any responsibility for delayed arrival or missed skiing but will reimburse any reasonable expenses which would otherwise not have occurred; travel to ski resorts in winter inevitably involves the possibility of poor weather including freezing conditions, heavy traf"c, delays and breakdowns. The company undertakes to do its best to look after you in the event of breakdown but it must be appreciated that replacement vehicles can be dif"cult to obtain at short notice wherever a breakdown occurs.

f) In circumstances where a local bus is provided free of charge by us on the last ski day to return a party from the slopes to their accommodation, the time and the pick-up point for the transfer is

entirely at the discretion of the company. If you prefer to make your own arrangements other than the free transfer, these can be made for you locally at a supplement of #150 per coach per transfer.

g) The departure from resort on the last day after skiing is calculated to comply with legal requirements (EU driver’s hours and rest periods). It may not be changed to an earlier time without speci"c agreement by the company.

Health requirementsThere are currently no special requirements for travel to France. However this should be checked by the party leaderbefore departure.

Hospital treatment is provided free of charge at public hospitals as part of the EU reciprocal arrangements. Bills for chemists, ambulances and doctors must be paid for locally and reclaimed under the terms of your insurance policy on your return. To ease facilitation of any treatment required we recommend that each party member is in possession of an original E111.

Passports and visasAll passengers require a full British passport. For juveniles under 18 there is the use of a collective passport. Obtaining the correct documentation is the responsibility of the party leader. Non-British citizens require a separate passport in any event and may require a visa. Please check with the embassies concerned.

AgesJuvenile prices are available to persons who are under 18 on the day of travel. A "xed adult supplement applies to all persons over this age not bene"ting from a free place. Some lift pass companies impose a higher charge for juveniles aged 15-17. We will advise you of this at the time of quotation and add the amount to your invoice when "nal party information is known.

Snow conditionsThe company cannot accept responsibility for snow and weather conditions which may affect skiing and ice skating etc. You are covered by piste closure insurance. The decision of your ski school on the suitability of snow conditions is "nal.

Lift passesVirtually all lift pass companies require a list of pupils with their dates of birth in addition to a statement from the Head con"rming that the group is a school party. The party leader undertakes to provide this information as prices are dependent on its availability. Certain lift companies require a photograph for all party members or adults only. It is the responsibility of the party leader to provide photographs on arrival in resort.

Ski and snowboarding instructiona) Instruction is booked, as far as is possible, according to the request made with the initial enquiry. Groups booked into 6 x 2 hours must expect to have lessons split equally in the morning and afternoon. In addition, ski instructors cannot accompany to other non-connected ski areas that may be included in the lift pass, as they would be unable to instruct subsequent groups in the main ski area. This may be avoided by booking the 6 x 4 hours option or full day.

b) Lessons are provided at group prices based on one instructor to ten students. Persons travelling on free places do not count in determining the ratio of instructors to pupils. You may at your own discretion vary the size of the groups to take into account varying ski and snowboard standards. Extra instructors can be arranged at an extra charge.

c) In order to comply with UK health and Safety recommendation it is a condition of the company accepting the booking that the party leader agrees that students will ski or snowboard only on marked pistes and patrolled slopes and be supervised at all times while skiing either by the party’s teachers who are competent skiers and/or snowboarders or by ski school instructors provided by a ski school contracted by the company.

Ski equipmentThe party leader accepts the obligation of ensuring the party

Attends the ski and/or snowboard "tting at the hotel at the time given and/or any other reasonable time.

Attends the ski shop for "tting if that is the arrangement in that resort.

On the last day the party leader agrees to return and check in all equipment with the supplier at whichever location applies.

EntertainmentWe pre-book or pre-notify your entertainment requirements as may be possible/practical. We cannot accept responsibility for the availability or operation of any particular planned operation. We will not undertake to book or arrange tobogganing, polybagging or bumboarding; this is not a service that can be licensed or controlled and as it can be dangerous we are unable to provide it.

Safety and securityThe provider of every service include in your holiday (accommodation, coach companies, insurers, ferry and rail operators, ski schools, ski suppliers, lift companies) is licensed by the competent authorities of the country concerned. In respect of hotels, this covers "re regulations, hygiene and safety. Please note that we are unable to impose UK standards on suppliers any more than other European countries can impose their standards on the UK.
