Public basic data?
Basic data are the authoritative data about the basic objects of the public administration.
There are defined basic data in the following areas:
• Spatial information, roads and real estate
• Properties homes, buildings and addresses
• Personal identity, residence and family relationships
• Companies and their key officers
• Citizens' income, wealth and education

Problem: Geonames in many different registers – some not georeferenced and several ways of spelling.
Solution: One national register on Geographical Names - authoritative basic data – INSPIRE!
