This course is open to anyone looking for work, considering a career change or just wanting more information on what working in construction looks like.

This free training course is for jobseekers and career changers who want to take their first step into the construction industry. The course will be delivered in a fun and practical way through project-based learning and development and you’ll learn lots from your amazing trainers.

The course covers:● Health & Safety in a construction environment ● Preparation for work and employability skills● Basic plumbing and electrical essential skills● Rights and responsibilities in the workplace● Teamwork● Personal development including searching for and applying for work


Course highlights:● Introduction to skills required to work in the construction industry● Expand existing skills and knowledge● Increased employment potential● Access to live construction sites

This free training course is for jobseekers who want to take their first step into the construction industry and apply for an apprenticeship. The course will be delivered in a fun and practical way through project-based learning and development and you’ll learn lots from your amazing trainers.

The course covers:● Health & Safety in a construction environment ● Preparation for work● Basic bricklaying● Basic plumbing and electrical essential skills● Rights and responsibilities in the workplace● Personal confidence


Course highlights:● Developing skills required to work in the construction industry● Real construction project with an employer● Work experience with potential to lead to an apprenticeship● Increased employment potential

Results:● CSCS card ● Site ready, with some basic construction skills● Ready to apply for an apprenticeship with a construction company






Pre-Apprenticeship in Construction10 week, full time course (Monday-Friday)

This free training course is for resettling personnel or veterans who would like to prepare for a role in the construction industry. The course will be delivered in a fun and practical way through project-based learning and development and you’ll learn lots from your amazing trainers.

The course covers:● Health & Safety in a construction environment ● Basic bricklaying● Basic plumbing and electrical essential skills● Help translating a military CV to the civilian work environment


Course highlights:● Developing skills required to work in the construction industry● Expand existing skills and knowledge● Increased employment potential● Access to live construction sites

Results:● CSCS card ● Site ready● Basic skills to apply for a job in the construction sector






Ex-Forces Retraining in Construction2 week, full time course (Monday-Friday)

This course is designed to help you understand the potential hazards that a construction worker may face on site.

It provides a practical summary of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues – identifying your responsibility for looking after yourself and others; outlines the employer’s duties; and explains what should be done if you think that anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk.

CITB Accredited. It is an ideal foundation for those wishing to obtain an industry accreditation card.

This course is free to those with no prior construction skills experience or £135 + VAT to those working in construction.




Health and Safety Awareness1 day course

This course is for you if you’re considering, or already have, supervisory responsibilities. It provides an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues. It highlights legal responsibilities and the need to promote health and safety to supervise effectively.

At the end of the course you will have an understanding of:● health and safety law and how it applies to supervisors● your supervisory responsibilities in controlling site safely● risk assessments and the need for method statements● effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings● monitoring site activities effectively● timely intervention when bad practice is identified

CITB Accredited. It is endorsed by Build UK as the standard training for all supervisors working on Build UK sites. Certification for this course is valid for five years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to take a refresher course before the expiry date, otherwise the full course will need to be retaken.

This course costs £340 + VAT per person.




Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme 2 day course

This course is for you if you’re considering, or already have, responsibilities for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff e.g. site manager.

It covers all relevant legislation affecting safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture within the workforce.

At the end of the course you will be able to:● implement all health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation affecting your daily work● implement new guidance and industry best practice● state your duties and responsibilities with regards to health, safety,

welfare and the environment

CITB Accredited. This course is endorsed by Build UK as the standard training for all construction managers. Certification for this course is valid for five years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to take a refresher course before the expiry date, otherwise the full course will need to be retaken.





Site Management Safety Training Scheme5 day course

This refresher course is for anyone who has completed their Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificate in the last five years.

It updates knowledge of your responsibilities for site safety, health, welfare and the environment issues. It highlights legal responsibilities and the need to promote health and safety to supervise effectively.

It covers all relevant legislation affecting safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture within the workforce.

Note: This refresher must be taken before your SMSTS certificate expires or the full course will have to be taken again.

This refresher course is for anyone who has completed their full Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) certificate in the last five years. It updates your knowledge of your responsibilities for site safety, health, welfare and the environment.
