  • Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took charge at the helm of the Indian government, he has undertaken a number of strategic tours.

    New policy initiatives made towards other states by the cur-rent Modi government after he assumed office as Prime Minister of India.

    9 International trips were made by Narendra Modi during 2014 and around 24 in 2015*.

  • A nation's foreign policy is a reflection of its economic strength, military prowess and social cohesion.

  • Importance

    Typically, when the Head of State visits another country, it is

    the highest track. It sends out a message that the country is important to them.

    External Affairs Ministry decides which countries are important

    to India. Countries may be important due to local geopolitics,

    international politics, resources or just as "friends" who may be

    useful in times of crisis and on the basis of its foreign policy.
